.

I have gone to Dr. Worzel for many years for annual skin cancer screenings. (I switched to her after a bad experience w/another dermatologist, highly recommended to me, burned a cigar-shaped hole in my leg w/a laser to remove a harmless freckle, then, double-billed insurance for procedures never performed.)

I have found Dr. Wortzel to be very thorough. She explains what any odd spots or freckles could be and discusses options. Having been an athlete and lifeguard, I had several suspect moles and dark spots removed as a precautionary measure via manual methods w/local anesthesia and didn't feel a thing. One of them turned out to be pre-cancerous. A stitch in time saves nine. I am very happy and thankful for her watchful eye, professionalism and pleasant demeanor.

I was treated by her for a mystery rash that my primary care doc misdiagnosed, and for an allergic reaction to poison ivy.

Wait for a non-urgent appt such as a general screening is usually two to three months, but she will fit you in for an emergency.
