"Wow! What a great experience these guys are awesome and they saved my weekend. While at the Taste of Chicago, I was bumped in the crowd and broke my glasses i thought that my weekend was ruin. Thank God i had schedule an appointment at Chicago Eyes. The Doctor was excellent and very informative and so were the guys in the front. They have one of the best frame selections out there. They were able to make my glasses in a hour and I was so happy.

I recently found Chicago Eyes through a search in my neighborhood. They were great. Super friendly and the staff seem very knowledgeable and eager to help. Dr. Rafael really helped me understand what has been causing my problems with previous glasses and explained how to fix it in a way I could understand. I love the selection of frames and am going back to get some prescription sunglasses soon. Definitely recommend to anyone tired of the stale "cookie-cutter" service found at most chain stores.

At first I didnt know what to expect from this place. But from the time I was greeted until the time I checked out it was a good experience. The Doctor was so informing and patient with me. I also love how exclusive their frame selection is from other places. I received an eye exam and picked out glasses in less than an hour! These people beat out For Eyes and America's Best any day of the week.

I spent over 3 months trying to get serviced on contacts. My appointment was cut short and they refused to give me my order. I was required to "oreint" myself through their rigorous process in order to purchase the contacts. I then was told I needed to try the test contacts before they would issue the kit. I went back for the kit and was told that I was no longer eligible for the benefit. Seems very fishy and I'm on the hunt now for a new provider. What a total waste of time and service. BUYER BEWARE. I should have checked these other reviews before I went.

We went to Chicago Eyes to have our daughter's prescription filled because of the convenience of the location to our apartment. My initial problem with the place came with the way we were upsold on glasses, and told that one pair that cost about $100 more was much better than the pair our daughter liked. Well, we bought one pair of each, and got the more expensive pair covered by the replacement policy.

Turns out that pair had screws that kept loosening. One of the screws finally loosened up all the way, and one of the lenses fell out and was lost. Initially ChicagoEyes didn't want to cover the replacement with the replacement policy, even though it was clearly a problem with the frames, saying that it was a problem with the lab where they sent them out for service. Finally they agreed to do so. Three weeks passed during which our daughter had to use her backup pair of glasses with an old prescription in them. Finally, a week and a half ago they called again with some excuse about how the lenses weren't back to them yet. They gave some vague explanation having to do with a mixup at the lab where the lenses were being prepared. At this point, you would think that they might try to put a rush on the lenses to keep a customer happy - no, they wouldn't. Two more weeks and three important eye exams later, and they are finally ready.

GO TO CHICAGO EYES AT YOUR OWN RISK.

3 weeks ago I brough my 400$ worth glasses in the "Chicago Eyes" on 6200 North Clark St. to get readjusted and they broke the frame, 3 weeks of a nightmare of traing to fix it... I was dumped and ignored and now they finally agree to help me for 150$ of my money. Do you want to be treated the same way? Go for" Chicago eyes" and good luck!

Pros: Hi end selection, best designer selection I've seen in Chicago.

I agree with the previous entry. I requested multiple times to not order my contacts through them, but to get the prescription and order online and save %100. They refused, which I think is probably unlawful, wouldn't honor a $50 voucher because I had insurance, and were generally incompetent, dishonest and rude.

Walking into this store is like walking in to a used car lot. They all want to sell sell sell without listening to what you are looking for. I went in to check out their frames since they claim to have the largest selection in Edgewater. Most of the selection is not even on display but wrapped up in plastic- in the back. The only people authentically friendly when I went, were the people in the waiting room.
