I noticed the only reviews for Dr. Colby's office were from several years ago. Well, I have been there recently, a number of times, and I can vouch for how great it is now. The staff is very considerate, helpful, and efficient. Dr. Colby is very smart and thorough. I never feel rushed and she checks every mole, bump, etc, and is more than willing to sit and listen to my questions. At one point, I had a mole I thought was suspicious-looking. My general physician said it was nothing. She found a cancerous mole that my general doctor missed. I also like this office for their skin care. I was using a brand from Macys for many years, when I finally had a consultation with one of the office's skin care consultants. She set me up with a very easy skin care regime, which, to my surprise, costs a whole lot less than the Macy's stuff I had been using, AND this skin care line works much better! Oh, also, Dr. Colby is very gentle. You'll be very well taken care here!

Getting appointments and the desk to do it is not a very efficient or easy. The experience once you get into the office is professional and pleasant. I have always gotten appointment reminders and the office staff is pretty good overall.

Dr. Colby is a great doctor and is very knowledgeable. She has great bedside manner and has been great to work with for myself and my children. I would strongly recommend her.

Pros: Very knowledgeable and great to work with

Cons: Tend to have to wait on hold to get appts. - busy office

Called to make an appointment and was on hold for 12 minutes. When I told them I wanted them to take a look at a mole and a skin rash I was told that would have to be two separate appointments. Ridiculous! I will find a dermatologist with the ability to multli-task!!!!

A friend of mine goes to Dr. Colby and recommended that I contact her. I called Dr. Colby's office and asked if I could schedule a consultation. The girl who answered the phone asks in this nasty and demanding voice, " Who is this?" I gave my name and then she asks, " Are you a third party?" I said that I didn't know what she was talking about. Then she asks, " Who gave you this number?" I said, " Excuse me? Last I checked, this was a business open to the public and your information is available on the Internet." I hung up. I can only imagine what kind of service they provide if you get the third degree over the phone.

I got a call from the woman who does the laser hair removal at Sara Colby, who told me that I had missed my appt. that morning. This was the 2nd time I had been assured that I would get a reminder phone call 2 days prior to my appt., since they're scheduled 5 weeks out. Well, this woman was rude about it and told me that I'm still responsible for the $75 dollar no-show fee. AND, by the way, they were bought out by another company and their prices were going up, too. Soooo, did I still want to schedule another appointment? What nerve! I said, "No, I don't think so", and hung up the phone, fuming. I called back, left a message for Debbie in billing, who, by the way, never answers her phone. Then I called the woman who schedules the appointments to find out the number she was calling. According to her, there was one number off. Okay, could have been a mistake. So I drilled in. She said they left a message. Okay, I hung up, still upset because I KNEW they had not called and left a message. I tried the number she said she called, it was a constant busy signal. Now I know she's lying. I called back and asked which numbers she had listed for me. She gave me the incorrect one again, as well as my work phone, which was correct. So I asked her why she didn't call my work phone? Again, she said she was able to leave a message so she didn't try the other phone. I told her that I had tried the incorrect number and it gave a steady busy or out of service signal. So, I said did the answering machine have a unique or unusual message? Mine does. She said yes. So, I said did it answer in a foreign language? Again, she said yes. She didn't even realize that I was baiting her into a confession.........so, I guess you did have the right phone number, you were just lying to me. She said, I'll talk to the billing department about not charging you for the no-show. I said, you're right about that. I'll also be writing a review about this experience. Here it is.......
