Dr. Bodner was the first psychiatrist I saw in my life and It was a real disappointment. I went to see her because I had a bad case of Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Severe Depression. Every single visit I got out feeling more anxious. After five minutes and before I even finished talking she had already prescribed me more than four different medications and diagnosed me with bipolar depression. The medications caused me a lot of crazy side effects; headaches, joint pain, dizziness, sleeping problems, rashes, and worsening depression. Every time I told her about this, she just gave another medication. She didn't ask questions about my life except, "do you hear voices" which for some reason she kept asking every visit, and every time I said NO! Every time I told her something about my life to help her diagnosed better, it was like talking to a wall. When I asked her hard questions she gave me only evasive answers. When I when to see my medical records, I found out she never took notes of anything. And she also had this crude way of ending the visits, she would just pick up the phone and star talking to someone else or turn to her computer and ignore me completely, I learned after a couple times that, that was her way to say, " your time is up" so I learn to just get up and go. Only one medication actually helped (an ssri) When I stop the others and I actually felt better. I then changed to another psychiatrist and saw a psychologist too, and the experience was completely different. I found out that my condition was actually undiagnosed ADD, not schizophrenia or bipolar depression. I was able to quit the ssri and start a supplement regiment. I am much better now
