Sarah proved to be compassionate, knowledgeable and competent while providing me with excellent care. Sarah was my doula for 3 births. I then chose her for my midwife when pregnant with my last daughter. She was born at home in a birth pool surrounded by family. I simply would NOT have a baby without Sarah, she enabled us to have the birth that was right for our family. She paid great attention to my emotional and pshysical needs during pregnancy and birth. Her home visits were pleasant and comfortable. I just can't say enough.

She delivered two of my three children in the last two years and I have nothing but great things to say about her. She's an extraordinarily talented midwife and if a peaceful, no-drama home birth is what you're looking for, hire her without delay! The prenatal visits are in-depth and medically sound. She also helped me with some intense emotions that enabled me to have two incredible water births. The first lasted 2.5 hours and the second 1 hour! My first baby was a 27 hour labor, so I never considered that I could have such quick and peaceful and nearly pain-free labors- and without Sarah's help, I don't believe I would have. She came to my house at midnight one time when I hadn't felt my baby move in a while just to calm my pregnant mother fears. That is patient centered service if you ask me! After the births, she gave me lots of time and attention in the month after. Please don't hesitate to hire her- she's popular and busy and you don't want to miss out on her wonderful services. By the way, her prenatal massages are AWESOME and she has an beautiful room that is sure to relax you!

I have highly recommended Sarah to friends in need of midwifery care as well as recommended Sarah to friends interested in training in the art and science of midwifery. I have complete faith in her training and innate talent. I have had multiple friends hire Sarah for their births and have witnessed her care first hand; she is a midwife with passion, concern & love for her clients and their new babies. I have always witnessed her with utter professionalism and gentle kindness. The woman who hires Sarah for her journey into motherhood is a lucky and blessed lady.

Sarah is such a joy! Not only did we find an awesome midwife, we also gained a great friend. We transfered care to Sarah about halfway through my pregnancy. We were in the process of looking for a doctor who took Medicaid, when I ran across Sarah's name. I called her and she took about 30 minutes of her time to answer my questions and just talk with me. Although she does NOT accept Medicaid, we chose to hire her. We felt that she fit really well with our family and our values. At about 35 weeks my baby was still breech. Sarah was so helpful through this emotional time! She is very knowledgeable and kind-hearted, I never had any doubt of her wisdom. She is confident yet humble. She took hours out of her life to make phone calls and do research and talk with other midwives so that we could have the safest birth possible and have it the way we had wanted. It ended up that we had to transfer to the hospital because baby was just not going to turn. Sarah stayed with us through the whole thing. She labored with me for hours. She was the support that both my husband and I needed. Sarah is irreplaceable. I can't wait to have another baby so she can deliver it! I absolutely recommend her practice to anyone looking for a beautiful home birth under the care of a knowledgeable, trustworthy midwife, who cares about you and your baby and the values that are important to your family.

Sarah was one of two midwives at my home birth in 2009 and did an excellent job. She joined me early in labor and stayed with me all night until the birth the next day. I would have been lost without her and I felt she was a very good friend to me while I was going through my hard time. She was not the one responsible for my prenatal or postpartum care, but she was the one who coached me to get the baby down and was the one who encouraged me when I was pushing. She caught the baby in the end and then helped get me breast feeding. Sarah can seem pushy, but she is no worse than any physician I have ever seen and is only firm in her beliefs because she wants the best for you and your baby. She was a godsend to me and she is a good midwife with a very kind heart. As far as being on time for appointments.. Is time really so important? The baby won't be on time either! I believe that Sarah's loving and personalized care outweighs any "lateness" one might take issue with. Sarah Andrews cares about women and babies, this is the important thing.
