Dr. Sean Keem is truly dedicated to giving the best possible care to his every one of his patients. He displays wonderful bedside manner and takes the time to carefully listen and understand his patients needs. Not only does he care about improving his patient's health and strength, but he focuses on improving the functionality and quality of life. It is very rare to find a surgeon who is as equally skilled in all areas.

I had my initial surgery in 2000 by a "famous surgeon" in Emory (they are all famous there, aren't they?). I did OK for about 2 years but my spine started tilting to one side and I started feeling severe back pain. My surgeon told me my scoliosis got worse and told me to go see pain specialists. These guys are bandits! After they took turns and poked my back some 40 times they told me to see Dr. Keem. He was knowledgeable, empthathetic and straightforward. He told me what I needed to do for successful re-do surgery (quit smoking) and prepared me mentally as to what could go wrong (I could be worse off and even paralyzed) and courageously embarked the 8-hour-long surgery. Six months later, my back is straight, I am standing taller and I am no longer taking pain medications. I quit smoking and started exercising. My goal is to bring by 6'2" 265 lb frame down to 200 lb. After Dr. Keem did so much for me, this is the least I can do for myself!
