I could not beleive how horrible this eye center was. If you have insurance from another state, what a horrible hard time they give you and won't even try to contact your insurance, they refuse to. The women at the front desk are awful,

I love this office, I can see very well and love the comprehensiveness of the exam and insurance knowledge is great. Not a fancy place by any means, but very honest and clear as far as billing and SERVICE from the provider is good too.

Sorry, but i feel this is important enough to write about. This concerns the SEATTLE VISION CLINIC on Jackson Street . I have been a customer since 1968, and now have my own children, which i still bring there....But.....now...Seattle Vision Clinic office staff has been over the last several years, quite rude about simply making appointments with our DSHS insurance coupon. It stems from louldly talking in their quiet office about our insurance information. Little things like have we brought our coupon from the "State"? Even last year comments like your State coupon is very limited, and does not pay them much. I guess it always feels we are treated different because we are using DSHS low income insurance coupon.. I noticed it is always a little uncomfortable to have our names and insurance information louldly talked, exposing our DSHS status, while other staff look at us like we should have to pay more, only we are the very poor people, and are, or, of a different nature to the staff. The eye doctors are good, but there clinic staff seem to always have problems on professional maners with other DSHS coupon holders as well., because they have so many more customers, since they also accept DSHS coupons, even in 1968. Every time we check in, everyone listens and can here we are DSHS coupon holders, because the staff needs to say insurance information so louldly, but funny thing is, it is always quiet inside That in mind, after this last event which happened at the Seattle Vision Clinic on Jackson street. I am giving a very low rating because of my last encounter with the staff there, here is what hapened this year:
"Can you sit down"
Sorry, but seattle vision gets the low rating for its front desk staff and business. Our appointment that was made and confirmed on the phone, was changed to a different date, without our knowledge, or a phone call to notify us about the change. We just had talked to them one day before our appointment to confirm it too. We came to our appointment for eye exam, and were told are appointment was for the following week. This was after we were told in a mean way "can you sit down, i am working with another person, and when i finish with them i will call you" All we did was to enter, walk up to the counter to check in, waited till someone said we will be right with you, and after several minutes, were told "can you sit down". It seemed we were bothering them by standing where we were when we came up to the counter. We were just there at the counter, to check in. The staff seemed like they did not want another customer to deal with, we see that they do have alot of repeat customers, as we are too. We were not able to convince them about our appointment, they acted like we were wrong about our appointment, even after i told them i took time off of work to get here, we would not just pick a day, come here without having an appointment, but even so, they did not offer us service, simply said you have no appointment today. I guess i would have felt better if someone who over heard this conversation, which most did, since it is always very quiet, would have simply said sorry, my mistake, your mistake, both, or at least see who made the appointment, and who called us yesterday, to confirm apointment, but they did not. Not sure why? One thing for sure is that we wasted this day, without a reason as to why a business can treat customers without even a little respect..

Dr. Gregory Chin is the best, plain and simple. He was the first opthamologist I saw in Seattle and he will definitely be the only opthamologist I see again. So very helpful and extremely knowledgable. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my vision.

My husband found Seattle Vision Clinic via a recommendation from a friend... he went and was very impressed at the level of service, personal attention, and commitment to the patient's health. Dr. Chin did all the follow up to his Lasik surgery, and everything went fantastically well. I decided to go to Dr. Chin, and he explained my test results better than any doctor I've ever had. He listens, spends time to make sure you have the right lenses, has state of the art equipment, and is committed to excellence.
