First of all, to clarify, this dentist is the one with the Lake City Smiles sign out in front (I think Insider Pages link to the other dentist that way is out of date). The office staff and dentists are all nice. The one issue I had/have is that there's a strong focus on cosmetics and I just want my teeth healthy - not worried about the whitening stuff (which I am skeptical of anyhow although I've read it's not as much about peroxides anymore).

This dentist focuses on "preventitive" in terms of fillings way more than my prior dentist (who retired after a stroke) and I almost didn't return after a bit of pushing on filling minor starts - but after a couple visits and being insistent about not wanting to be overly aggressive we found a good balance. Definitely seems very knowledgeable and has an interesting full-mouth camera (pricey, though, if not on insurance skip it - I paid more of a copay than I would have had I known the price).

If you believe in aggressively filling every little spot here's a good choice. If you just want a cleaning and know you're mostly ok just be clear about it.

FYI, I did eventually take a few of the fillings when my insurance was being changed.
