I had sciatica that kept coming back in the exact same spot and it was getting worse every time. I was on pain medication but I couldn't drive while I was on it and it made me dizzy and I just wanted to get off of it. I heard of Dr. V. from a friend and was skeptical but checked him out. He is extremely knowledgeable about chronic pain and also very good at explaining the theory behind his procedures. He put me at ease. With one treatment my pain was immediately reduced by 90%. I was completely amazed. I will definitely refer Dr V to anyone.

A few years ago I beat colon cancer, but my fight wasn't over. Several years after a surgery on my bowels, the cancer had spread to my back and I developed severe pain that I could barely cope with. Dr. Vengurlekar treated me with plasma energy to destroy the tumor that all other doctors said were inoperable. Dr. V is a very confident doctor and he works hard to put you at ease. His speciality is treating chronic pain and he is very skilled at what he does. the tumour in my spine was removed without complication and then I received a few injections of medical cement to strengthen my back. I am now completely 100% pain free. Marvelous work.

I had untreatable, untractable pain for years since getting in a bad car accident. I saw many, many physicians and specialists and to no avail. Finally, a neurologist referred me to Dr. V. who started me on the healing process. He diagnosed me right away and after 3 treatments over the course of a few months I was right as rain. Every procedure got me closer and more pain-free. I have had zero pain over the last year. Dr. V. is a warm, caring man and I couldn??t have asked for someone more knowledgeable about chronic pain.

Out of nowhere about 1 year ago I started having severe pain on the right side of my abdomen. I went to many different specialists including a gastroenterologist and even got gall bladder surgery but nothing helped my mysterious pain. I eventually got a referral for Dr. Vengurlekar who diagnosed me immediately with rectus abdominis syndrome (a condition that has do with the abdominal wall tissue). After one procedure I experienced more relief than every other treatment I had done combined. I have only had to go back to Dr. V. once and best of all I have not had to use any kind of medication to control my pain. Thank you, Dr. V.!!!

I was referred to Vengurlekar from another doctor and travelled pretty far to see him. Having ruptured a disc in my neck I was in pretty horrendous pain 24/7. Vengurlekar was really empathetic when seeing me and took special care during my examination. Without an MRI or any expensive treatment he was able to correctly diagnose exactly the treatment I needed. I got a procedure in March of this year and my pain has gone from constantly being between a 9 and a 10 on the pain scale to a 0.5, a 1.5 on the worst days. I went back to see him a few times just to make sure my healing was going according to plan and he seemed genuinely enthused to see me getting better like I was his own daughter. Very thoughtful and very brilliant man in medicine.

Dr. Vengurlekar is everything I wanted in a doctor. Really sensitive and gave personalized advice and is extremely competent when it comes to his craft. I came in to see him regarding my chronic neck pain that was so bad I couldn??t even drive. I had been on a prescription for Vicodin for a while and when I told him this he told me about how bad Vicodin was for me and how we should get me treatment ASAP so I would be off of it. From the first time I called the premier pain center to the time I had my final treatment was less than two weeks. I went in for surgery last month and even though it may see scary at first his procedure is ??minimally invasive? meaning they don??t actually have to slice you open. Everything he does is with X-rays and computers so they can see in you from the outside. He prides himself on what he says is ??actually curing the pain? rather than treating you with drugs forever, and that??s exactly what he did. It was like a miracle. I really like his style and approach. There should be more Dr.??s like Dr. V.

This fellow really knows his biz. I have gone to others in the valley and DR V is the Man. His procedures are painless and they WORK!
I went to another DR he had me lay on my belly as he gave me an epidural, let me tell you this was not fun and when he touched a nerve, wow it hurt alot. V's approach was not the same at all, he went in directly to the area, not the long way through this and that, but short and sweet and bang it I was over, within 24 hours my pain went away.
I really think that he is the best around by far. As far as other reviews I read about him, what a joke some of them are, this guy is a class act and his staff are just nice people that care about people and there problems.

I received a referral for Dr. V. and traveled all the way from CA to see him. I found that there are very few surgeons doing the procedures he provides, but with the amazing success rate he has I don't understand why. Dr. V. is the complete opposite with many doctors I have seen in the past. He provides very individualized advise and you don't feel like you are just wasting his time. He gets to know you and really cares. He treats you like a friend and not a paycheck. And the procedure itself... truly amazing. I had a herniated disc that had been giving me pain and complications for many years and other doctors told me I there was nothing I could do. When I sadly explained my story to Dr. V. he just smiled and said "We can fix that right up." as simply as he said he were changing the oil on my car. Only 1 appointment 1 week later and my pain is gone and I am literally cured. It is truly a miracle from God that Dr. V. exists. His practices should be the most mainstream treatments in the medical world.

It seems like the real patients are expressing a different perception than the hired office staff. One reviewer discusses the 'red flags" that they noticed. I think that a red flag is represented on this review site when the patients have a different opinion than the paid office staff.

This doctor is very degrading. He spoke very derogatory statements about other physicians. He criticized other doctors successes in treatment. I have never written a review before, but have read them with some skepticism. Because of the arrogance of this physician, the poor treatment during my visit, I decided that hopefully, I can spare someone else from that experience. I am just appalled that someone that has chosen this field would practice in this manner.

I am so grateful to Dr. Vengurlekar and the wonderful folks at Premier Pain Clinic. I have had debilitating pain for years, and have seen all kinds of doctors from chiropractors to orthopedic surgeons to holistic practitioners. None of them could do anything for me. It got so bad all I could do was lie on the floor sometimes. Excruciating back and neck pain that nearly destroyed my life. I could barely work and was out on medical leave indefinitely until I almost lost my job. Dr. Vengurlekar figured out exactly what I needed and after a few minimally invasive injections I am able to get around virtually pain free. I would never go to anyone else after this. He has changed my life and I will be forever grateful. If you have pain, run, don't walk, to this kind doctor! If you don't try him, you will never know what you are missing.

I beg to differ with the previous patient who attacked Dr. Vengurlekar. He or she sounds like someone who was doctor-shopping for a Dr. who would give them excessive painkillers, something that has become a bit of a problem for doctors specializing in pain. If they don't prescribe the dangerous level of drugs demanded by these patients, the patients try to punish them by smearing their reputations online. I saw Dr. Vengurlekar for pain I suffered after a severe car accident, and he was always very kind, behaved very appropriately, and gave me the correct amount of painkillers for the pain I was undergoing - not too much, not too less. When I asked him for pain medicine, his reaction was normal, he gave me what I needed, he did not accuse me of wanting excessive drugs. I suspect the previous writer attacking Dr. Vengurlekar isn't telling you the entire story, and he tried to get more than a normal prescription for drugs. I don't even know how to respond to the accusation that he is racist or sexist, I saw nothing like that (for the record, Dr. Vengurlekar is Indian), he was very kind. He is responsible and genuinely cared about my well-being. I am now 100% free of my pain and have recommended him to everyone I know who suffers from pain. He is a wonderful alternative to surgery. There are many other patients who have had similar experiences to mine who have posted their reviews on Dr. Vengurlekar's website, I suggest anyone considering this doctor read their reviews too before giving this disgruntled pain-medication seeker's review any credibility. http://www.azpainmd.com/cases.php

I have been working for Dr. Vengurlekar for over 6 months now. I can not begin to describe the amazing things I've witnessed so far. My job is so rewarding in the sense I get to see people who are in very serious pain, progress into individuals who are happy to enjoy life again to the fullest. I love when patients come back smiling and feeling much better after their procedures. That truly makes my day! I'm often told about activities pain has kept them from enjoying. Hearing all about how they have been able to resume those hobbies once again now that they are pain-free, really makes me proud to work for this doctor. He has a very ethical practice and always see's each and every patient in person. I would recommend any of my friends or family dealing with any type of pain to him- without a doubt!

I have worked with Dr. Vengurlekar and his patients for the past several months and have witnessed patients receiving only the very best of care and treatment. All of his patients receive a thorough and professional exam, not the "assembly-line" approach that a few of the other pain practices in the area offer. He is very conservative in his approach and only offers the proper and most effective treatment based on his patient's needs. I have personally witnessed many of his patients who went to him in pain become pain-free and functional after receiving treatment by him. His surgical facility is equipped with the latest in technology and he staffs his office with Registered Nurses who are qualified to assist with the procedures he performs. Last, most of his patients come to him from other patients' referrals, which says a lot about the favorable outcomes his patients receive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to a friend or family member and would seek his expertise personally should I ever need an interventional pain physician.

I was referred to this doctor in an attempt to avoid back surgery. In retrospect, I should have avoided Dr. Vengurlekar. I'm not sure if he is sexist or racist but I was very offended from the beginning. I've worked for dr's and am generally very forgiving as soon as he walked in the exam room the most curious exchange transpired with his MA. She kept her eyes down, in subservience (?), for the entire time. He demanded that she get him a glass of water & she launched out of the room as if afire. After returning with the water, he drank a sip and she stood there with the water at ready level for him and with her eyes still downcast. During the exam, I asked him a question and he sighed so big, making a clucking sound with his tongue and demanding to know my education level before he would answer. Although the fact that the pain treatment he initially gave me didn't work wasn't his fault, when I asked if there was anything that he could prescribe that was non-narcotic that would hold me over until surgery the office made it very clear that they think that if you are asking for ANY drugs you are a 'drug-seeker'. In fact, another Dr. did readily prescribe a short term med that did very much help me to get thru the few days until I was able to get surgery. Run, walk or crawl away from this doctor!

Hi Linda, I hardly remember you. We do not support any drug seekers in our Premier Pain Institute. If we would have screened you well before you wouldn't have got the appointment. Take care!

I went to Dr. V. at the Premier Pain Institute and observed him being incredibly rude to his female staff. For some reason, his nurse must accompany into the examining room for every patient (this to me is a red flag). On my first visit, he told his nurse to ??get me water? in a very demeaning way and in front of me ?? a new patient.

The doctor is also arrogant and has an air about him that is one of entitlement. He wants patients to follow up with an office visit every 10 days which is excessive. I only went a few times and would not bother going back again.
