I usually love going to the dentist but my experience here was miserable. The front desk workers were very polite and nice but I cannot say that about the rest of the staff. Pretty much everything they first reviewer wrote is true. I will be finding another dentist.

.

I had to pay $240 out of pocket for x-rays and debridment and I was told I would need a 2nd visit for scaling and my insurance would pay 80% of that. That is all I was told.

It was on the day of the 2nd visit while I was sitting in the chair ready for the scaling to begin that her assistant came in to explain the cost. She told me that the procedure would take 4 visits. None of this was previously explained. I told her that I would like to know the cost fo having it done all at once. She came back with a total cost of $590.

I told them that I had to speak to my husband about our finances before I agreed to that amount. Joann asked rudely,' Well what did you expect it was discussed with you earlier?' I told her that it wasnt and I was not expecting my 20% to be almost $600. I told her that I would have to leave. She said that if I left she would charge me $50.

I told her that I had only brought $450 with me. She then told me my 20% is actually $410. Only then did they print up the bills and gave them to me. They printed one for the $590 too. They asked me to sign them both for their records. I was angry but I paid the $50.

I shouldnt have been charged that fee. I fulfilled my end by keeping the appointment. They did not. Had the cost been explained to me in advance I would not have agreed to the appointment nor would I have taken a day off from work without pay to keep it.

She told me not to be afraid. Maybe it was her prices I was afraid of. Payment arrangements were offered and she even said that if I rescheduled the $50 would be credited towards the $410 quote. Did she really think that after the way I had been treated I would return? It's funny how the prices kept changing.

After searching other dentist's prices I found out that her prices are HIGH! I found another Dr. My 20% there is $128. She was very angry and rude to me because I had the sense to ask questions and leave her office. I would never recommend this dentist to anyone.

Cons: Attitude, Shady billing practices

I went to this dentist last year, and I still have bad memories of it. They told me that my teeth were much worse than they really were. I went ot a couple of other dentists that same year (a month later) to get second opinions. THey both agreed that this dentist office diagnosed me incorrectly. I filed complaints against this dentist, and I still haven't heard anything from the dental associations.
