I was referred to Dr Skelton office and Fell in love with them over there. Down to earth, professional. Would highly recommend him.

In reponse to other review.... I would never suggest testing your doctors. We need to supply the doctors with all information to help them help us. That person set themselves up for disaster.

In November 2010, I arrived 15 minutes prior to my first
appointment ever with Dr. Skelton at 1330 and sat in waiting room for
45 minutes.
The office phone in waiting room had answering machine that recorded patients' voice
messages that all the patients in the waiting room could hear as it
was being recorded.
Dr. Skelton nor secretary (not a dental hygienist) did
not wash hands in between patients or before donning gloves.
Dr. Skelton looked up at secretary while scraping enamel around the
gums and nicked my tongue.
Dr. Skelton brushed my teeth and did not floss them.
The entire "cleaning" took 10 minutes.
Dr. Skelton did not use dental instrument (sharp pick) to check for
caries in any teeth. I had a sensitive spot in one of my molars but I
did not inform Dr. Skelton of it because I wanted him to find it in
his examination of my teeth. He did not mention anything about
possible caries.

- I called Dr. Skelton's office today, December 9, 2010 at 1517
requesting that Dr. Skelton not file a dental evaluation on my
appointment in November 2010 and only for the cleaning.

Me: "Anyone can look at my teeth and couldn't tell that I had a
potentially growing cavity. Usually the dentist takes their dental
instrument pick thing and pushes it in the pits of the teeth to check
for caries."

Dr. Skelton: "The act of sitting in my office and me looking at your
teeth constitutes an exam"

Dr. Skelton: "You're not welcome here."

Dr. Skelton: "Take that attitude of yours to another dentist and
you'll get thrown out of that office"

Me: "I'm not trying to put up an attitude. I'm just trying to have
charged what was done and not what was not done. At my previous
dentist, the dental hygienist cleaned my teeth for 30 to 45 minutes,
flossed my teeth, and then the dentist came and checked my teeth for
cavities with a dental instrument. She did not just look at me smile,
like you did. You did not even take an X-ray of my teeth even though
it was my first visit."

Dr. Skelton: "Here's what I'll do: I will only charge for the cleaning
and not the exam. And you are no longer my patient. Go back to the one
that you're used to. Bye." He hung up.

There was no sense of customer service or professionalism. Dr. Skelton kept addressing me as "young lady" instead of my name. When I called to request that he not file my insurance for the exam he did not do, he did not bother to ask for my concerns or my ideas or what he could do to help me out with my concerns.
