I went to Dr. Rayeks' clinic in Fairfax for an advertised $69 new patient special and they charged my insurance $289. Then, after my insurance paid them $37, they billed me an additional $100. When I called to find out about it the person who spoke with me was very rude and condescending. All for the $69 advertised "new patient special". She even told me that special was only for people with no health insurance, but the ad does not mention that at all, in fact, the ad states "insurance may reduce to zero".Then, Dr. Riaz Rayek said I needed a cavity filled and a crown done. I knew I needed a crown, but the cavity was news to me. After the exam, they shuffled me into a finance office and that person tried to get me to sign a $3500 treatment contract on the spot. I could get a 5% discount only if I signed it that day. It was more like buying a used car than going to see a doctor. I later went to a different dentist and was told I had no cavity!!!! This was my experience, not sure about others, but no way am I going back there!
