I would have to agree. The management office is the worst ever. They really need to get a different women in the on-site management office. She is the meanest woman around. She has always been rude not just to me, but to almost everyone. I dont understand why they just dont replace her, but I heard the woman there before was inept too.
The doorman and other staff are just extremely helpful. The building is fairly well maintained.

I moved into Manhattan Place earlier this year and think that it is not only a beautiful building but the staff and management go above and beyond to help out with whatever problems that I have encountered. Unlike the previous post about Manhattan Place I have had nothing but a good experience in my everyday life here. Especially with the office and the woman who works there. She has been very helpful to me.
I chose Manhattan Place for several reasons over other buildings in the area and the ones right next door. The apartment layouts were to my liking, the healthclub is small but has all the amenities of the big clubs you have to pay monthly fees for without the crowds and it is also well staffed, the location of the building, the friendliness of the staff and the all around beauty from the park out front with one of the most beautiful fountains in the city to the lobby, which when you walk into you feel like you are walking into a Grand Ballroom. I have to say that moving here has made my transition from a non-New Yorker to a New Yorker a smooth one and as long as I have a job here in the city I plan on staying here.

Pros: Everything

Cons: None that come to mind

While the building itself is attractive, and the doormen are beyond nice and helpful and courteous, the management office at Manhattan Place is a nightmare. Not only is the woman in the office not friendly in the least, she's also unhelpful and rude both on the phone and in person. I'm a pretty ideal resident with no pets, I don't have parties and I don't cause trouble. I don't think she actually has an s-list--I'm pretty positive she's a monster to everyone. She's been mean to me everytime I've gone to her office starting with the day I moved in. With such a nasty person representing the building, it's a surprise anyone lives there longer than a year--or moves in at all. She treats people like trash, gives nonsense responses to questions for which she doesn't know the answer, and complains about things that have no relevance to the immediate issue. I feel sorry for people I see in the lobby with real estate agents. There are a lot of other buildings in both the immediate area and in comparable areas of New York City that are just as nice that, as I learned too late, are much more resident-friendly.

Pros: lobby is pretty, doormen are always nice, most other residents are friendly, location is decent

Cons: management
