Wonderful reception staff - very nice and polite
Dentist - firm,yet nice

My child is a toddler - very shy and won't go with strangers.
I do not like the fact that she does not want parents to go back with kids. My child was very traumatized after having to go back alone. You teach your children not to go with strangers and they want you to send your young child back with them????? I know that children will act much better without their parents in the exam room, but I'm just very uncomfortable with this practice. Apparently, most pediatric dentists do the same. I'm sorry - I just don't know this lady or her staff and don't feel like I should be required to send my child back parentless. I'm not overprotective, but this is my child and I'm paying for the work. HELLO! Also, my child needs work and the dentist didn't even bother to explain what needed to be done. A hygienist sort of went over what needed to be done and rushed me out the door. I'm planning on taking my child back for the dental work, but I will not let them keep me in the waiting room this time. She's a toddler - I'm sorry- I have every right to be right there with her. Our previous pediatric dentist (with my older two children) requested parents stay in the waiting room, but gave you the option of coming back if you wanted and MADE you come back if your child seemed scared or uncomfortable. Too bad he has retired.
Overall, I would give this dentist an okay rating - just needs to work on dealing with parents of young children and needs to work on professional skills (ex. personally tell parents about the treatment plan and EXPLAIN!!!)
