Dr. Wiles is Excellent! Here is my story (short version). I was having trouble being able to see things clearly and this had progressed to the point that I couldn't read anything without getting excruciating headaches within minutes of trying.

Other doctors told me that I needed vision correction surgery to restore my vision loss.

I did my research about 'eye surgery complications' and learned that the national average of eye surgery complications is about 20% or 1 out of every 5 people. Some are actually worse after surgery than before. That scared me. (Google search: eye surgery complications and read - it's really scary stuff when you consider the facts).

I did not want just anyone performing the surgery I needed to restore my vision on a 20% chance it might not work or even worse, possibly losing what little vision I still had.

I continued my research and discovered that Dr. Wiles is considered to be the nations leading eye surgery expert and has a eye surgery complication rate of 1 in 4000 (which is less than 1/4 of 1%).

I set an appointment to see Dr. Wiles. After all the testing was done (his staff was great during that process) he came into the room and explained everything about the procedure I needed and assured me that he personally does all surgery procedures at his clinics himself. Ultimately, I decided to ask him to perform my surgery which he accepted to do.

That was almost 10 years ago and every year at my annual eye exam, I still get to see Dr. Wiles personally (after a little wait) and he tells me I still have 20/20 vision but best of all, I can read without getting the massive headaches I used to get.

To me, having the nations leading expert, Dr. Wiles, reverse my vision loss is a once in a lifetime priceless opportunity. I'd be willing to crawl through broken glass and camp out on his clinic doorstep for a week to be able to see him if that is what it took but fortunately for me, it doesn't.

My vision is everything to me and I do not understand why some people would complain about having to wait to see the nations leading vision expert, Dr. Stephen Wiles.

Thank you so much doc! I cannot express in words how grateful and appreciative I am that you are my doctor.

I refer everyone I know to Dr. Wiles to get their eyes checked by him. So far not one complaint from any of my family and friends.

My usual wait time is approximately 15 to 20 minutes for the process to start. My total testing time and office visit is about an hour to 90 minutes - unless he needs to do something special. For example last time they saw a freckle in my eye and he wanted to make sure it was not going to be or cause a problem so they did another test on a different machine. I didn't mind at all.

I would tell you that unless you have and entire morning or entire afternoon to devote to this appointment--don't schedule with this facility.

Arrived at 12:30 1:15 taken back for 10minutes max of taking pictures of eye and getting pressure and at 2:15 had to leave--not seen- to get to another appointment at 2:30 in Liberty. When we told them we had to leave for another appointment.......she said well the appointments are a minimun of 2 hours. --It was a follow up appt.
Their ???? "well, can you come back this afternoon.....obviously some people aren't aware that gas is $4.09 al gallon. Our time is also valuable Doctor.

Pros: Good Doctors if you can get to them

Cons: 2 hr wait-not seen --staff avoided us because we were unhappy with such a long wait & had another appt elsewhere that we were going to be late for.
