I really enjoy going to this Eye Care Associates. I have been to several (one in Zebulon and in Cary) and this one is the best. Very good customer service.

I really enjoy going to this Eye Care Associates. I have been to several (one in Zebulon and in Cary) and this one is the best. Very good customer service.

Pros: Dr. Stone is very caring and so is her staff

Cons: gets a little behind schedule

I've never had a worse experience with a doctor. First I get a card in the mail with an appointment time for my annual checkup. So I show up at the office, and they tell me since I didn't confirm the appt with them that they gave my time to someone else. I would think you only have to call them if you are NOT going to make it.
So I reschedule and go back another week. I meet with Dr. Lee, who tells me I can try astigmatism contacts if I'd like, I have only a minor astigmatism in one eye so the difference may not be great, but it is going to cost an extra $50 for the fitting. And naturally astigmatism contacts are much more expensive. They send me home with one pair that makes my vision blurry. I call back and tell them they aren't working out, so they offer to order a different brand. A month goes by and I haven't heard from them, so I call them and they tell me they FORGOT to order my replacement trial pair. In another couple weeks I finally get them, and of course they are no better. So I call back to tell them I want a prescription for my regular brand. They send me to voice mail and I never get a phone call back. So I just place an order online, and let the online company deal with the Doctor to get the prescription. This finally gets the Dr. office to call me and confirm I want the regular contacts and not the astigmatism. I tell them yes. And they proceed to send the wrong prescription to the online company anyway, which further delays my order.

In summary, they don't respect your appointment times. They will try to get you to switch your brand or buy something more expensive. They want you to buy from them, so getting your prescription from them is like pulling teeth. They can't seem to place orders correctly or even send the correct prescription and you have to hound them to get things done.

Such an awful experience! I set up appointments for my son and myself ten minutes apart, so we could have our eyes checked in the quickest time possible. Well, over an hour later, we were still sitting in their hallway. My son then was moved to a doctor's office, but no doctor was in there. I sat in the hall and listed to dr. Lee talk on the phone to someone about how they were asking too much of his time for some charity and sending him too many emails and asking him to attend too many meetings. Isn't there a more appropriate time for this? I would never treat my clients in such an unprofessional manner. I finally said enough is enough, these people do not care about their clients and went and got my son and we left. They actually asked if we wanted to reschedule. NOT IN A MILLION YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros: EASY TO PARK

Cons: THEY HAVE ALL DAY, AND ACT LIKE IT WHILE YOU DON'T HAVE ALL DAY TO BE THERE.

We were taken back to the "test area" and those tests performed quickly, but then had to sit in the hallway to wait to see the doctors. Keep in mind we had scheduled appointments with two different doctors. They did not even have a room to put us in, so we had to sit in the hallway. Over one hour later, we were still in the hallway, never having seen either doctor we had an appointment with. The girls kept walking by and saying "soon". I don't know about you, but over an hour to be kept sitting in a hallway is just too long. And we had to listen while one of the doctors talked on the phone, complaining about how his charity is asking him to raise too much money, and keeps sending him too many emails ------HEY WHAT ABOUT YOUR PATIENTS? COULD YOU NOT DO THIS AFTER WORK? Needless to say after over an hour of waiting, we told them to cancel our appointments and we were leaving. She asked if we wanted to reschedule and I told her we were never coming back there and they better not charge my insurance company for this visit. They all walked around like turtles there, like they have all day ----- well, I don't.
