I was the Michelle C. who previously gave this office a 5 star rating and wonderful review. Since then the office has changed so much. Matter of fact, now my girls hardly ever even see Dr. Branam because he has another dentist there with him. After taking my 4 daughters there for 13 + years I've finally decided that enough is enough. I'm switching over before the next cleaning in October. The dentist promised us and told us how important it was that my daughter got a pallet expander. We waited over a year for baby teeth to fall out(per his instruction), and came in for regular cleanings. then we came back like he suggested to get 2 baby teeth pulled so he could install the device (one tooth fell out that day at school so we only got one pulled) knowing that the next step would be to install the device that per Dr. Branams word was "VERY IMPORTANT for her dental health". We came back after that to get the device installed. Not only were we not on the schedule, he sent in another dentist to tell me that he "changed course of action" and nothing needs done till she gets older and she will need braces. Earlier he told me that if he did this she would not need braces. He also urged that timing is everything and he has to put this device in after the baby teeth were gone, but before adult teeth started growing in to mold her mouth the way he wants it. Now, nothing! I would not have got her tooth pulled had i known he wasn't installing the device, I would have let nature take course. he didn't even have the respect to come tell me himself. I was so frustrated leaving the office that I almost cried. 13 years, and you can't even tell me why all the sudden this device is not important for my child. The other dentist didn't even seem to care that I was upset and leaving. I'm truly disappointed.

I took my 3 1/2 year old son to see Dr. Branam for a routine cleaning and check up. I explained to him that he had a traumatic experience a year earlier with a different dentist and that he was a little nervous. I was truly hopeful that he would be patient and explain exactly what he was doing and why. He first brushed his teeth which went well. Next it was time for the cleaning. Instead of telling my son what he was doing and explaining the procedure he tried to force his mouth open. He inserted a huge metal clamp to hold his jaw open. my son was crying and gagging. I was instructed to hold him down. I refused and asked him to take the thing out of his mouth and try talking to him. When he said he would not I told him we where finished and I would never take my son back. I picked him up and walked out of the office.

Now my son who was already nervous and apprehensive about visiting the dentist, is traumatized. I don't know how any parent could be in support of such practices. i believe that dental care is very important to start at a young age but not like that. I would not recommend Dr. Branam to any parent. He is an older doctor who I believe has become desensitized to young children.

I truly can't say enough about dr branham and his staff. My 4 daughters LOVE to go to the dentist. He makes things so exciting and they want to brush. The staff is so good to me and my girls and we have never had to wait a long time for our appointment, although with all the toys and games my girls love the wating room. A+ all the way around.

PROS: specializes in children
CONS: NONE! He is the best

Dr. Branam is the only pediatric dentist in my area. He and his staff are very kind. They do all they can to keep the children happy and calm, and work with you on payments and appointments.
