I went to Dr. Roth a couple of months ago. I had the eye exam which included the glaucoma check. I also purchased eye glasses there. Everything went smoothly. I found the doctor as well as the staff to all be friendly and professional. My new glasses are everything I could hope for. They fit perfectly, and I can see very clearly with them. My insurance doesn't pay for glasses, it just covers part of the exam, but that's not the doctor's fault. I honestly don't know what the negative reviews are about. I didn't experience any problems.

most of these reviews are absurd. one person said he's horrible, but they also said they've been there 20 to 30 times. why would you go there 30 times if he's horrible? only a fool would write that.

i've been to dr. roth for myself, my daughter, and my wife. we've all enjoyed going there, and we've all felt we were treated excellently. he answers any question i can think of. the staff is very friendly and helpful. when i've had questions on the phone, no problem. when i've asked for extra receipts for insurance purposes, no problem. when my daughter was being fitted for contact lenses, they worked with her for at least a half hour making sure my daughter knew exactly what to do and how to do it when putting in and removing lenses, taking care of them, etc.

the rest of you need to pay better attention before writing a review.

Dr. Roth lost my business as well as my family's business when during an exam I asked him about a two year contact lens prescription. I explained my insurance didn't cover annual exams or contact lens purchases and I asked him if he would be willing to write a two year prescription. I already knew that most optometrists will make this accommodation. His response was, and I quote, "You need to get better insurance."

I walked out of his office, politely advised his staff that I would contact my bank and have tell them not to honor the co-pay transaction and that my entire family would never be back.

While the doctor was decent and he staff seemed friendly, the wait was very long. And overall the staff and doctor lacked compassion and seemed more interested in getting money from you than helping out.

I was just recently in to see Dr. Roth . Re: Kate Sullivan"s review,
there is no female Dr. there. I found both the Dr. and the staff to be extremely nice. Yes, I paid for a contact lens fit, but I also paid for one at my last Dr.'s office. I had to wait for 20 minutes to be taken back, but I have to wait at all my Doctors. Also, Ms. Sullivan should proofread her post. And, I do not think the staff or the Dr. is there to entertain anyone.

I have been to West Deptford Eye Care on a number of occasions. The staff is nice and always helpful. On those occasions I did have to wait between 20-30 minutes past my scheduled time to be seen. That is not the worst part. The doctor is an arrogant pompous know it all. When I tried to explain the discomfort and blurred vision he dismissed my concerns and then tried to make me feel like I did not know what I was seeing. Needless to say, I will not waste my time, money or eyesight on this quack!

the first time i went to the office i had this creepy feeling on my skin concerning the staff. they are not friendly and accomodating and i felt the discrimination. Not knowing that i am one of their soon to be one of the educated and professional clients, they treat me as garbage. The second time i went there, the person entertaining me wasnt that much of a help, she was asking me for a payment in any form or my medicaid card, which went to show that she did not read the chart about her patient. I was shocked and the doctor happened to pass by and was also shocked at was one of her staff did, luckily it was the doctor who corrected her staff for her mistake. I have my own insurance that pays for my family's visits and eyeglasses.

I went to West Deptford Eye Care for my routine eye exams for years. The staff is very nice and professional, but the schedule often runs behind - especially on Saturdays.

My eyecare insurance is limited to certain providers.I chose West Deptford eye care due to location and Saturday hours. After arriving for our Saturday appointment, we waited over 30 minutes to be examined. I inquired about contact lenses and the Doctor explained that I would have to make an appointment to see the contact lens specialist. I made the appointment for the following week.

When I arrived for my second appointment, for contact lenses. I was told by the office staff that that individual was still on vacation and that I would need to come back another day. Displeased, I made an appointment with a more professional group of eye doctors.
