This office posts a menu of fees on the wall for uninsured patients seeking care. I wondered if it were once a fast food; very tacky. They will not let a patient see the doctor unless this payment has been made at the front desk FIRST no exceptions. With or without an appointment; if you have insurance you MUST walk up and sign in. Don't wait to be acknowledged just find a pen and sign the log it is somewhere on the counter; then sit down and wait to be called back to pay your co-pay. Don't try to save steps by offering to make the co-pay while standing there or you will be told I will call you in a few minutes when it's ready! All is done in the way most convenient to the staff; not to the patient. They are running a business here. Obviously somebody lost the concept that BECAUSE THERE ARE PATIENTS we run an office for medical care. Here the patients must fit into their system or hit the highway (rather than modifying a system that alienates/belittles the patient and impersonates caring medical treatment). Once you are sprinted into the examining room, you will see more of the nurse than of any doctor. Make crib notes of what ails you for when the doctor does make an appearance as you have 30 seconds of looking at his back as he looks at a laptop writing as you speak to him. When he finishes his laptop entry He listens to your chest systematically and unrelated to your concerns but it is during this moment of bewilderment he pleasantly states "I'll be right back". The doctor never returns. The nurse re-enters to make your next appointment and dismiss you; this has happened 5 times since I found this surreal "clinic". If your next appointment should be a day your regular doctor is off; you will see whoever is filling in for him and not be given another day or even offered the courtesy. This has happened twice of 5 visits. Perhaps a drive through window would better serve this group of nepotists; all with the same last name and bedside manner. At least you could avoid the public humiliation of not having insurance or $175 to receive care and just drive away. The 2 other ratings here must be from the office staff or another Strobbe of some sort. Last note concerning the reminder call 1 day before your appointment- if you have caller id you see the office is calling but they hang up rather than speak. Should you have a test scheduled they will cancel it if you do not reconfirm it by calling them 1 day before.
