She doesn't check your joints, which I have never seen from any other rheumatologist before. She orders tests and has on numerous occasions forgotten to give me the results...which ended up being a huge set back in my disease. And she doesn't listen long enough to get the full picture of all of the symptoms. She says she will give you prescriptions and often forgets that too.

If you have a mild case and are good at remembering and reminding ton make up for her lack then she might be ok for you. But if you, like I, have pain and illness that can't afford mistakes and wasted time then I'd seek a more engaged rheumatologist who has time to provide proactive

Pros: Nice woman

Cons: No time for her patients

.

I have take my mother to 9 Rheumatologist all throughout the country in the past 4 years and Dr. Suarez was the first doctor to appropriately diagnosis and treat my mother. Thanks to Dr. Suarez my mother has been able to go weeks at a time pain free, instead of living with constant pain. She can finely laugh and enjoy life again. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Suarez and staff for everything they have done for my mother.

Pros: Very compassionate person

.

Her staff is arrogant, rude and extremely unhelpful. They do not show any empathy towards patient's situation and will absolutely not do anything to help them.

As an example, I needed lab reports that were sent to her office while I was at my primary care physician. Her staff was rude not only to me but also my primary care physician's staff - first they refused that they even had the reports on file when infact they had them. It took my PCP calling Dr Suarez directly for her staff to actually fax the reports. Something that should not have taken more than 10 minutes of their time. This ordeal took 4 hrs for me to come to conclusion.

For my condition, It is not worth going through the trouble and emotional stress caused by her staff. I am switching to a different rheumatologist who has reasonable staff and who has time to listen to my problems.

Pros: None

Cons: Extremely Unprofessional and rude behavior of staff

.

The staff was extremely rude on the phone when calling to schedule my appt.

The office staff and dr were both rude and vile during my appt. They were dismissive and very dismissive. The appt was so horrid, I called my dr during the appt and had her talk to Dr. Suarez and Dr. Suarez was rude and dismissive to her also.

Due to my experience and the experience of other patients, my primary dr. no longer sends patients to Dr. Suarez.

Cons: absolutely rude on phone and in person

Easy to get appointments when needed and she has Saturday clinic once a month. This is very helpful because work is not missed. The staff is very friendly and professional. Dr. Lisa Suarez is very patient-oriented and takes time to review treatment options and listen to how well current treatments are working.
