STAY CLEAR OF THIS DR.! He is condescending and completely rude. If you question any of his ideas in any way he cuts you off in mid conversation and seems irritated you are standing up for yourself. If he prescribes medication he sits there rattling off the side effects sounding like a commercial on tv. When my wife was out of medication due to a pharmacy error, she began to withdraw from the medication. We called Persaud's office and said we needed him immediately to help her, she was vomiting and very ill. No call back from the Dr., and his office staff is extremely young, inexperience and dizzy acting. They seemed unconcerned that my wife was in danger with these symptoms. When they called back they simply said Persaud advised we "go to the nearest ER" and "you should know the location of a local medical detox". ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. Even though a pharm. error, my wife was his patient, and years ago I remember she had a seizure when her body withdrew from some missed medication. HE should have showed more concern. A few months later in the office we questioned his ideas on having a procedure done and he seemed extremely upset we would 'dare' question him, His tone was as if he was lecturing a child. My wife was an LPN in this state of Georgia for 24 years before her injury caused her to have to quit. She obviously knew more than he wanted her to about her suggested procedure. After speaking with a few other patients, our stories sounded similar. If you agree with him and nod your head stupidly, he will like you. Bottom line, seek out ANOTHER pain mgmt dr. (which in Valdosta area are few) . Once my wife started seeing another MD named James Campagna, her symptoms greatly improved and was told that Persaud's lack of people skills had increased new patients at his practice! He said Persaud had her on way too much medication, and was not monitoring her symptoms/side effects at all. PLEASE....STAY AWAY from him. We thought of complaining to the state medical board, but it just upsets my wife to even mention him. Very sincerely, A.C.
