In 2005 I was 19 and pregnant with my first child, I had a medical card and sought care under susan mueller. Towards the end of my pregnancy I was having alot of swelling and did not feel the baby move much, I let her know what was going on and she had me in the NEXT day. I talked with her and told her the baby was not moving much at all. She never scheduled any stress test or even an ultrasound but told me I was getting close to the end of pregnancy and the baby just didnt have enough room to move around. The next morning at 9:00 am I began bleeding and rushed to the labor and delivery at western baptist. When she arrived I was bleeding alot and she did an ultrasound in the room, I asked her if the baby was ok and she looked at me and said no its dead. she asked me how much cocain i had done, Not if i had done any but how much as if she knew i had done something to hurt my baby. She told me I would have to deliver even though I was bleeding so much it was all over the floor and bed, another nurse said i was hemorhaging to much for delivery, susan then told me she needed consent to perform a historectomy and never once did anyone comfort me or anything I was rushed into surgery and didnt see susan again for 2 days, she then told me she was unsure of the cause and i would never know, "it happens". Needless to say i consulted a lawyer outside of paducah but to prove malpratice i needed to prove it wasnt something that just happend. A year later I was pregnant and went to Dr.Hodges and she told me all i needed was to take a blood thinner while pregnant and delivered a healthy baby with no complications. I had a protien defficiency that was found at the first visit to Dr.Hodges and at this point it was too late to file malpractice against mueller.

Dr. Mueller is the upper echelon of OB care. I developed preeclampsia during my pregnancy. She was very informative and always had time to answer both my and my husband??s questions. The care that she gave me and my unborn child were second to none. Because my preeclampsia became much worse I had to be flown to a high risk facility that had a NICU for babies delivered before 35 weeks. She held my hand as I got ready for the flight and reassured me that everything would be O.K. Dr. Mueller called my room after I had been transported to check on me and my small, but healthy little girl. I am eternally grateful to her for her knowledge, expertise, dedication and most of all her bedside manner. She gives of herself and truly wants what is best for you and your child. Dr. Mueller earned my respect and trust.
