Horrible experience with Dr. Iorio. She gives off an attitude of not really caring about your concerns and can't wait to leave the room. I went for two reasons, one being to have some spots frozen. She told me it wasn't in her notes that I had come for that reason and I would need to schedule another appt. It would have taken her about 3 minutes but I guess she was just trying to get another office visit out of it. Will never go back!!!

From the moment I walked into North Scottsdale Dermatology proved to be a poor experience. The office staff was rude. I had to ask for my insurance card and I.D. because they forgot to give it to me, then they had to look for them. The wait time was over 45 minutes. Dr. Lorio was unpleasant. I went there for something specific and she didn't even address my concerns. Instead she asked me if I had a referral or if a doctor sent me. I said no. She walked out the door and I was waiting for her to come back and the nurse who was sitting at the computer in the same room didn't even look at me and said, you can leave now. It was embarrassing and an awful experience.

My doctor recommended I see a dermatologist to check some spots on my face, ear and back. I called North Scottsdale Dermatology to schedule an appointment and they scheduled me with Susan Lorio. (They had several appts., available for her the very same day I called.) While in the waiting room I was entertained by the 2 receptionists at the front desk. They passive aggressively made snide remarks to each other while rolling their eyes behind the back of the other. It was obvious by their behavior there was a great deal of tension between them. Thirty minutes past my scheduled time, I was finally escorted to a room to see Dr. Lorio. Fifteen minutes later, Dr. Lorio walked in. Dr. Lorio, she was curt with me asking me why I was there? (She never looked at the paperwork I filled out!) I explained to her that my doctor suggested I see a dermatologist to have some spots evaluated. She then tells me she doesn't have time to give me a full exam but would look at my head and face and I would have to set up another appointment to be further checked. Whaaat? I was told she had availability times all throughout the day! She looked abruptly at my face with her magnifying glass and said "your fine" and abruptly walked out the door without a saying a word. I just sat there. What just happened? At that point, I just walked out. It was one of the most unprofessional places I'd ever walked into. I found Susan Lorio's behavior to be quite offensive. I only did what I was instructed to do by my own doctor, which was to call and have some things check out. The office staff was stressed and you could feel the tension. The only positive experience was the fish tank in the waiting room. It kept me from looking at all of their posters arrayed throughout the waiting room claiming they are voted #1 top doctors and best rated. What a scam. They feel the need to prove themselves. Good doctors have nothing to prove. I just walked out and have no intention of returning. I ended going to another dermatologist who was brilliant. I would suggest you do too.

I visited Dr. Iorio's office the last week of December; everyone trying to get in before the end of year. I choose Dr. Iorio because my mother is a patient of hers. I arrived early to complete my forms for new patient and was called in about 15-20 minutes, then I waited another 10 minutes before the Dr. came in. Considering how crowded the waiting room was and my appointment was late in the afternoon; they moved me through rather quickly. Dr. Iorio was very apologetic for the wait. And once she arrived things happened quickly. I was examined, biopsied, treated and out the door in about 15-20 minutes. The office is very clean and well appointed. Dr. Iorio's staff that I interacted with were very professional and polite. I'm very satisfied with my first visit and will definitely return. I'd recommend her to anyone.

Horrible. I will never go back to Dr. Iorio or refer to anyone! From the second I walked in I got major attitude from the office girls. When I got there the office people told me that I didn't even have an appointment and then when I showed them that I made a record of our conversation and my appointment they never even apologized. They told me to wait and maybe I could get in. After sitting there for 45 minutes I finally got to see the doctor and she was even worse! I don't know if she had an attitude because they had to fit me in (because they messed up my appointment) or if that's her usual style with new patients. She did not listen to one of my concerns or questions. She literally walked in (didn't even examine my face) and wrote me three prescriptions. Two of which I told her I had already tried and didn't work for me...she said try them again. I also asked her about a cyst on my face and she said there was no way to get rid of it without surgery. I went to someone else and they got rid of it in a week with no surgery whatsoever and a much better attitude. I also asked her about another issue and she took a 2 second glance and said there was nothing she could do....another doctor also took care of that promptly. After at least an hour of waiting (past my appointment time) and attitudes from everyone I only saw the doctor for 7 minutes (I looked what time I went in and out). The office girls also told me I could not get my medical records faxed from other doctors (I used to work in a medical office handling medical records) and you absolutely can. They just told me no and didn't even try. I had to personally call my past dermatologists and ask them to fax my records. My records were faxed within 15 minutes from both doctors. I usually wouldn't waste my time writing a review about someone this horrible but I wish I would have been warned so I could have saved my time and money and go to a nicer person with some knowledge. Literally the worst doctor and staff I have ever encountered. Go elsewhere.
