My experience with Dr. Krupin was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a professional in any environment. My appointment began with a staff person looking at me initially who was very nice and capable. After he was done, Dr. Krupin came into the room, didn't introduce himself, didn't look at me, sat down at a computer in the room and with his back to me proceeded to ask what I "thought" the problem was and what eye it was in. My eye was swollen and bloodshot... It wasn't too difficult to tell which eye was the problem, had he looked at me. He then examined my eye for about 5 - 10 min and then sat back down at his computer. After about 5 minutes of hunting and pecking on the keyboard, he again began speaking to me with his back turned, explaining the problem was "oil stuff," and telling me he was giving me a prescription eye drop that should help. When I tried to ask questions about the cause of the problem, he turned around and looked at me (finally) only to say with frustration that "we were going in circles" and that the cause was, again, "oil stuff." I also asked about the drops he was prescribing, and all he would tell me was that they were very mild steroids. It wasn't until I got home and did some research that I found out there were risks involved with steroid drops and that overuse could lead to glaucoma. Dr. Krupin told me to use the drops more frequently and for a longer period of time than the recommended dosage, and never explained to me the risks. My eye problem went away without the use of the steroid drops. I bought some over the counter antihistamine drops that helped me right away. I have seasonal allergies which seemed to have been the problem, and which Dr. Krupin would likely have realized, had he ever took the time to ask. I don't think this man has any business seeing patients.
