I brought my son to Pacific Dental for his first checkup and cleaning. They were great with him and really put him at ease (although it took about 10 minutes). They let him choose a trinket at the end and gave him a new toothbrush and kid toothpaste and he was quite happy. He keeps saying "wuk at my teef mom" and smiling quite large. I'm happy to know he had a good experience and will look forward to his next visit. Everyone at Pacific Dental was very sweet and made us feel comfortable. The wait time wasn't excessive (about 12 minutes) and we were in and out within an hour.

I went to Pac Dental for a checkup and to see why my gums were bleeding. I didn't have any caveties but did have the start of gum disease and ended up having to have a deep cleaning. I'd never heard of such a thing before but it is basically cleaning beneath the gums, closer to the root of the tooth. This allows the gum to reattach to the tooth and, eventually, makes them happy. The process was unlike the regular cleaning and, honestly, my gums kind of ached for a week after the procedure. That being said, my gums are now the color they are supposed to be, not bright red, and are tight to me teeth which means they aren't bleeding! I really feel we have averted disaster and give the doctor 100% credit for recognizing what was going on and being proactive in treatment. I will definitely take a lot more time cleaning and flossing from now on. I appreciated the time and care I received and will be back every six months if only for a light cleaning from now on. I certainly don't want to lose my teeth...

I was eating dinner a couple of weeks ago and, running my tongue along the back of my mouth, found a disturbing rough spot on my back molar. I searched everywhere for a mirror small enough to fit in my mouth and was devastated to see a piece of my tooth was missing. I??ve had one cavity my entire life and I??m missing part of my tooth? Of course, to compound matters, I don??t have dental insurance. I talked to my sister and she said to go to Pacific Dental Care. They have been her dentist for three years and she just loves the staff. I met with Dr. Nguyen who said (sigh) I need a root canal. They were really great to work with and have set me up with a payment plan to cover my office visits and the crown I am going to need after the root canal. My sister was right (but don??t tell her) they are great!
