I was staff at CRH. An experienced ER RN. The quality of care, the knowledge and skill of the staff, the 5-6 hour waits, a different person in your room every half hour, the understaffing (nurses get a taste of CRH and get out while they still have a license-that's why they are so understaffed), all contribute to poor care and inappropriate care by sub-standard healthcare 'professionals'. Your taking your life in your own hands by going there-I swear I have witnessed this.

Today I had a couple exams.....blood work and mammogram. Person could not get my blood, so kept digging and digging...into my muscle, finally decided to try again same arm different spot....got it, then a bit later the thing was bleeding like crazy!...then mammogram time... lady couldn't figure their program its a new system so somewhat understandable......well 2 strikes already, should have known not to bring my son when we had an emergency later this night..but bring him I did.....the lady who took blood from my son decided to tell him he wasn't being still enough and that's why she couldn't get enough blood the first time....HE was VERY still....I cannot believe she blamed him for her inadequacy SO she decided to draw from his other arm. Waited 3 hours still no word as to when we would be seen. THEN decided maybe his injury wasn't emergency enough as originally thought..especially being in a waiting room full of hacking people, no I don't want to keep him exposed to that...so as a courtesy... decided to let the front desk/check person know we would be leaving...only to get yelled at!...their was one family probably a group of 5, checking in....the person next to the check in person wasn't busy...actually doing nothing! so I thought their was two lines! ...she said RULES are... stay so far back..I must of missed the line it did seem like their was two... But anyways OK, I think I got that if I am behind the line I can yell to her we were leaving..which we did...and decided if our son was OK when we went home we will just keep checking his injury....then if need be we will go ANYWHERE else besides chandler regional... its almost worth the chance of going to flagstaff *3hours away* just to know they will not be rude or incompetent- Joy Seeman

I went there on a Sunday morning at 8 am with pain in my right side, nausea, lack of appetite and complaining that it was my appendix. After being expedited by the receptionist, the ER doctor told me that it had to be fibroids at my age, that it couldn't be appendicitis and stuck me off the side. He did not look at the blood test or CAT scan until hours later which proved that I had an advanced case of appendicitis. Then it was another 8 hours until they operated on my at 9 pm that night. I spent an extra day in the hospital recovering. Then I get billed by the ER doctor as being "out of network" because according to the head of the hospital, they can't be bothered to sign the paperwork for every little healthplan that comes along. They simply don't care about their patients and don't even have a patient advocate instead they have a quality control person who can't even deal with the issues, you have to make calls and deal with the administration yourself!

I delivered my daughter here and the experience was wonderful, the nurses are awesome, very caring and really know their stuff. I would reccomend for anyone about to have a baby.

I recently had to go to the emergency room at Chandler Regional and I was very impressed. They saw me very quickly, were able to perform a series of high level tests and the doctor who treated me was very good. They are understaffed as most hospitals are, but they were very professional and everything ran smoothly.

My youngest son was born at Chandler Regional and overall my experience was very pleasant. Believe it or not, I think the food was pretty good too (except for the last day). The maternity nurses were wonderful, such hard workers. I was there for a few days and only ran into one unpleasant nurse. I had an overall pretty comfortable stay and my newborn son was treated very well. As far as cost was concerned, all I can say is my insurance took care of it and I never saw a bill beyond my previous co-pays, so that was a blessing! I would definitely feel comfortable going back.

PROS: Caring nurses, close location...decent food.
CONS: nobody likes being in a hospital
