Dr. Thomas is extremely well-read and professional as well as attentive and caring. I knew from the moment I stepped into his office that he would be attentive to me and my needs. I was struggling with secondary infertility and Dr. Thomas really took the time with me to develop a care-plan that I felt comfortable with. His entire staff is caring, and I always feel at home in his office. I always feel welcome to ask questions and I'm always answered thoroughly. Infertility is such a sensitive issue...all women issues are sensitive and it is important to me to see a doctor who is knowledgeable, trustworthy, and professional. These are just a few of the reasons that I appreciate Dr. Thomas!

I love love love Dr. Thomas. I don't usually like any of these types of Dr's but really not very many women that I know look forward to going to these types of visits to begin with. I first met Dr. Thomas after I found out I was pregnant and ran screaming from Dr. Dash's office (DR DASH - DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY OFFICE AND WAS OFF ON MY DUE DATE BY MORE THAN 3 MONTHS...EARLY!!!) And when I made my appointment with Dr. Thomas he made me and my husband feel more than welcome. He's an amazing person. He let me take extra ultra sounds and always made me comfortable. He made me feel more comfortable than any other OB/GYN ever in my life. He played a big part in making my step daughter feel more comfortable too by us having another child. He included her in every visit that I was able to bring her to. My family all lives out of town so everytime one would come into town while I was pregnant he again went above and beyond to accomodate them and let them "take a peek" at our baby...and after we had our baby and I got the "baby blues" when I went in to the office when my son was 11 weeks old for a follow up on something else...he walked in the room and said "hey how are we doing my new happy parents?" And I just started crying. He was so comforting and caring.

For this being my first and probably my only pregnancy...I couldn't be happier by choosing him to walk me through this milestone in my life.

A true amazing, caring and wonderful man!!! I cannot see how someone could ever give him a negative review. LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM!!

Stay away from Dr. Thomas! I had a horrible experience with this doctor. Please learn from my mistake and find an OB that has the time to care for you and your baby.

Every time I made an appointment with Dr. Thomas, I had to wait at least an hour; and that was just the waiting room! I would make the first appointment of the day and still wait that long every time. Dr. Thomas always seemed rushed and impatient with the questions and concerns I had. His response to many of my questions was, "I'm not sure about that". It seems that if your specialty is OB/GYN you should be able to tell me if I should bank my baby's cord blood, right?

Since this was my first pregnancy, I worried about everything because Dr. Thomas never told me what I should or shouldn't be worried about. I called him once after hours once because I had been exposed to the flu and he seemed so annoyed that I even called him.

And here's where I decided I needed a new OB: I went in for a routine check up at 28 weeks and did my normal weigh in. I had gained 15 pounds at this point. As he was leaving the room, he told me I had gained all the weight I could gain for the rest of my pregnancy and I needed to go on a diet. Seriously!? Before I could even react he left the room. I couldn't believe it...what I was supposed to do..not let my baby grow for two more months!? I am a very healthy, petite woman so I was blown away that he was wanted me to diet. Right then and there I decided to switch to a different OB. When I requested my medical records to give to the new doctor, I noticed that he wrote down that my husband's BOSS was the father of my baby on my charts!!!! Umm...what?! I was so mortified by this...and especially that I had to explain to my new OB that my husband was, in fact, the father of my child. :/

All this to say, find someone that will spend enough time with you to make you feel comfortable and at ease. I always felt like it was a nuisance that I was there in the first place. You want someone that enjoys what they do. I'm glad I found an amazing OB, Dr. Amanda Barrett in Nashville. She is the BEST!
