Dr. Tran had been my doctor for 5 years and I feel quite foolish for keeping her as my doctor for so long.

I have had an neuropathy since age 2 (I am now 29) which means I need to be seen by a lot of specialists.

Pros:
1. She generally writes your prescription in a timely fashion
3. Miley the receptionist is kind and easy to talk to.

Cons:
1. She is poorly staffed... she has no nurses and nurse practitioners on her staff and she is the only doctor.

2. She has a tendency looking at her watch consistently and making you feel rushed.

3. After five years of being my doctor, she knew nearly nothing about my condition.... Which she actually admitted to when I brought it to her attention after we decided she would no longer be my doctor.

4. During the course of five years she only initiated that I see a specialist once. All other times I had to initiate the process myself. It is clear that I have a physical disability and should be seen by several different specialists. My current/new doctor since September 2013 has initiated me being seen by several different doctors which lets me know that I did not have unrealistic expectations of Dr. Tran.

5. Due to the nature of my physical disability I requested that the doctor request of the insurance to run a specific test. Dr. Tran told me that I probably had nothing to worry about and the insurance most likely would not authorize this request because I am young. I kindly and patiently explained to her despite the fact that she was my doctor and could clearly see that I have a physical disability that my circumstances are clearly not of someone typically in their 20s. After going back and forth with her, she put through the request and insurance with no problem at all authorized the request. Dr. Tran should be ever so grateful that I requested this exam because the results were what I expected and had I not had the exam and something had happened to me I could have sued her.
6. As it was nearing five years, I honestly informed the doctor that after several years she knew almost nothing about my condition, almost never initiated that I see the specialists or have any special tests run, she seemed not to be invested in my care, and that I could have complained to the insurance and a written bad review about her. Instead I wanted to tell her face-to-face because I believe that is the fair thing to. She thanked me and instead of saying she would try harder, she simply said that it was great that I was invested in my own health care. I in no way expected an apology because I understand that as a doctor she clearly feared being sued by a patient if she admitted to a mistake. Unfortunately, her care towards me as a doctor went downhill and I had had enough.

I have never in my lifetime written a bad review about a doctor but I wanted to prevent someone else from going what I went through. I am happy to report that I currently have the most amazing Dr. and I highly recommend doing your research beforehand and finding yourself a good doctor.

I wanted a simple referral to an occupational therapist for my child who has difficulty chewing solid food. Dr. Tran refused, claiming "let the kid go hungry, he'll eat". She just have the utmost disregard of my parental concern. What effort does it take her to do a referral? She also argued with me that my kid's weight is "normal", despite my 3.5 year old weighs in at 25 lbs and has not gained weigh in more than a year! Dr. Tran tends to have a combative attitude and has no basic "customer service" mentality, let alone a warm, caring attitude you'd expect from a doctor, especially from a female pediatrician! Lastly. her office opens 10am-5pm weekdays, closed weekends. Sounds a lot like a government welfare service?

I have always had a great experience with Dr. Tran, as has my mother who recommended her. The amount of time she spends asking questions and listening to what's going on is a rarity these days, and she typically takes additional time showing me what is going on with my body with visuals and any extra information I may need to understand. I have never felt rushed or not important, and every concern I have is treated with respect. She is always professional and very thorough.

Megan, her assistant, is super kind and puts you at ease as soon as you enter the office. In urgent times her staff always tries their best to squeeze me in an appointment at the last minute. I would highly recommend her to other people who'd really like a doctor that gives them the attention they need when facing a medical problem.

I was very dissatisfied with my last visit to Dr. Tran??s office. My appointment was at 2:15 pm that day, and I showed up at 2:00 pm just in case they needed me to fill out any paper work. I sat in the waiting room until 2:30 pm! The assistant in her office, Megan was very nice. She talked and related to me while she took my temperature and blood pressure. Dr. Tran did not come into my patient office until 3:30 pm! I waited over an hour to talk to her and she seemed annoyed that I was questioning her about the medicine she gave me. We talked for only 5 MINUTES! I understand that sometimes other patients make her run late, but someone needs to let us know how late she is running so that we can choose to make other plans. And when she gets into the room she needs to treat us like we are the first person she saw that day. After that, it took another half hour to get a referral taken care of for me. I am normally a patient person, but I was there for 2 hours and only had 5 minutes of her time. I had enough. I walked out and will be looking for a new doctor. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I took my son to Dr. Tran for a few months. I was extremely disatisfied with Dr. Tran's condescending attitude. I left a few messages for her after hours. She promptly returned my calls but sounded as if she was annoyed each time. I would not recommend her as a pediatrician to anyone. I would recommend for Dr. Tran to recieve customer service/bedside manner training!

I have been taking my son to see Dr. Tran since he was born 18 months ago. Both her and her staff are very friendly and welcoming. Her office is well maintained, and she gets back to you promptly if you leave a message. I highly recommend her, and she is pro breastfeeding which was a big deal to me!
