.

As someone who used to work in the medical field, I am somewhat picky about the physicians that I see. I gave Dr Fry over a year to prove his merit as a physician to me. Seeing as I had private insurance and not medicaid, his services should have been a little better. If any of you have medicaid or state insurance, you know that you are somewhat treated differently. I saw him a couple of times in the office. Several times I was subjected to visits with his rude, obnoxious, and uncaring Nurse Practitioner, who seemed more concerned with what she THOUGHT she knew than what she actually DOES know.
He put me through a battery of unneccessary testing and procedures. I have Primary Biliary Cirrhosis. I was sent to him on a different occasion with the following symptoms: upper right quadrant pain that radiated to shoulder, nausea, and extreme pain and vomiting when I ate fatty foods. Those are classic symptoms of gallbladder problems. After an ultrasound came back no gallstones, he refused to do a HIDA scan to measure functionality. Instead, he made me go through an EGD and Colonoscopy. After waking from the second procedure, I adamantly insisted upon the HIDA scan. Turns out, I was completely correct about my gallbladder!
Graded as follows:
Knowledge: B
Bedside manner: D
Listens to patiens: F
I will not return as his patient
