I am an employer. One of my employees was referred to Dr. Carter for a lumbar strain under workers comp. The employee has been visiting this physician for over seven months. Yesterday the employee returned from his weekly visit with doctor??s orders that were illegible. The employee also informed me that Doctor Ty Carter specifically asked my employee, ??Do you want me to put down on the form that you are disabled?? What kind of doctor is this? Should he not be diagnosing the condition and not asking the employee what he would choose? It is a good thing I have an honest employee.
I called the office for feedback and it took eight hours to get a return call and then the nurse had totally incorrect information about the employee. It is now day two and I am still waiting for information. The office staff is incompetent and the doctor could care less about my employee.
Bottom line, if you want quality service, do not go to this facility, and under no circumstance, if it concerns workers comp, do not send your employees here unless you want an unnecessarily huge financial burden.
I have reported Dr. Carter and CMI, I am now going thorough the arduous process and additional financial burden of finding another physician for my employee, I now feel that my employee received substandard care and misinformation.

This is the WORST group of physicians in Aiken, SC. I wouldn't send a stray dog there. No compassion, no patience, no personality, nothing but herd them in and herd them out - all they care about is money and themselves.

My husband broke his back and was sent to the Carolina Orthopedic Associates. He was/is in tremendous pain. They did not EVEN x-ray his back. After deciding to move on to find someone to help him, his back was found to be broken. He was treated in a very uncompassionate way at this place also.
I can't believe the ill treatment he received there.
