Dr. Valentine Ratner has an extremely weak network of referrals and her staff will not let you speak to her in case of emergency. She first referred me to Drs. Oppenheimer and Mautner who decided to take advantage of my ignorance and overcharged me more than twice the appropriate amount of money for a root canal procedure (a total of $ 826!!). Then, she referred me to Dr. Martin Swartz who unsuccessfully performed a root canal on a tooth that I ended up losing.

I broke my tooth biting on a cinnamon roll!! It was an accident but it could have been prevented if Dr. Swartz had placed a protective tooth cap. I am angry and upset that I was not able to see Dr. Ratner or speak with her before the accident happened. I ended paying $ 1,350 for an exploratory surgery trying to save the tooth and I will have to pay $ 4,000 if I want to have an implant to replace my tooth. This is all very frustrating when I know this accident could have been prevented. I do NOT recommend Dr. Valentine Ratner and/or her referrals.
