No appointments is nice unless they are swamped. My longest wait was 3 1/2 hours - that was flu season so it's understandable. Usually it's about an hour. They have a LabCorp office on premise which is convenient.

The nurse practitioner was excellent and professional. Her prescribed treatment worked.

Dr. Hinshaw is a congenial man but orders few diagnostics and make diagnosis primarily on the basis of opinion. If you disagree with him he may resort to sarcasm. He once boasted that he was the drug companies best friend. He will make derisive comments about patients to his staff between exam rooms.

Dr. Kitowicz yelled at me that I was obese because I refused to take a medication that she insisted on prescribing for me. Pass on her unless you're into that sort of thing.

For routine family health care this is a convenient choice. Definitely choose the nurse practitioner and skip the MD and DO.

Billing staff can be difficult but the nursing staff is caring and professional.

I had nothing but great things to say about him and his practice until today. This doctor talked to one of his patients like a dog. I spoke to this person in the waiting room before she was called to the back. The lady spoke well and seemed well put together but reaked of feces - like seriously strong. Something was definitely wrong with her. When I was called in the back, he was lighting in on her. (I knew who the doctor was speaking with was by the smell coming from the room). It was very distinctive and lingered. But, he apparently told her that nothing was wrong and he recommended she see a psychiatrist. I could hear her repeat his words in disbelief. I mean, even I could see/smell something was physically wrong with her and Im in construction!

The fact that this incident even took place is incredible to me. He made a joke about her to me. There was no discretion. But I bet he took her money or billed her insurance without batting an eye. People

As of this evening my wife has already found a new GP.

In general this particular building has been a revolving door for patients and doctors alike. Hinshaw has been there, in the same spot for years and years, with the same type of practice. His staff has changed regularly over the years including the MD's, PA's and nurses. They no longer prescribe muscle relaxers and anti-anxiety medicine of the first visit. But everything else is still the same.

Good Luck!!
