My child and I have been seeing Dr. Wayer for the past year. Dr. Wayer and all of her staff are so lovely! They truly are the kindest people you'd ever want to meet. I would name them by name, but I don't know if the staff would like that so I will just say the there could not be a nicer receptionist...she has helped me on numerous occasions when I have had questions. It wouldn't be possible to get better billing ladies! They explain everything perfectly! I always have so many questions for the doctor and hygienists...I always feel so bad, but they answer every question and never make me feel that I'm wasting their time. Thank you to Dr. Wayer and staff for all of your help! A note to those that left negative feedback, I'm so sorry that you had to go through those issues that you described...I hope they are all resolved. Perhaps some of it could simply boil down to having a bad day. Best wishes for all of you!

Took my son here. He got his first filling here, but by the end of that night his lip had swollen up so big that it was splitting all the way to the bottom of his teeth. I took him to his pediatrician and he confirmed that it was an infection most likely caused by something this dentist did. I know these things can happen so I decided to take my son back to this dentist the next day. All I wanted to do was show her what had happened, but how I was received was ridiculous. I never did see the dentist. Her tech just kept telling me that she had to see what the pediatrician had said before the dentist would see me, and that my son had chewed his own lip. We were there for over an hour and she never once came in to see my son. They were much more concerned with the legality of the situation then they were about the welfare of my 4 year old son. What kind of medical professional doesnt show concern for their patients????? In my opinion, if you want a dentist that truly cares about YOU then don't waste your time with this one.

NEVER AGAIN will my family and I be back at this place!!! Most of the assistants are nice but the receptionist (older lady) is very rude and cold hearted. It shows the minute you walk in the door. They DO NOT do well w/little ones. If you're the patient..they wont see you if you bring your child w/you or if you have a child being seen and have another child w/you...you WILL get dirty looks (from the receptionist) the entire time you're there!! NOT KID FRIENDLY AT ALL!! They actually let you know that they prefer for you not to bring children or siblings to appointments!! It's extremely quiet and uptight there and that's the way they like to keep it! They wouldn't see my 4 year old to have his teeth cleaned (even though I wanted it done, he was willing AND our Ins pays for it) they let me know up front that they DO NOT see children until the age of 5. I know most other dentist offices will do it at the age of 3 as long as the child cooperates.
If you have to cancel for some reason...it better be exactly 24 hrs or more ahead of time and it better be an "emergency" or you will have to pay $50. It's considered a "no show" even if you cancel.
I have heard so many complaints from other people (family and friends) about the rudeness of this place and their lack of service, I don't know WHY I even went back there after hearing all the horror stories. I have experienced it for the VERY LAST TIME. Snooty staff, greed and money is what this place is all about so if you're looking for a dentist who has an office staff who is friendly and helpful and a dentist who cares about their patients...go SOMEWHERE ELSE because you won't get it here!!!

Went here many years ago for a few visits. If you enjoy pain, she's the dentist for you! Had to have a filling replaced and wasn't given enough Novocaine. When she began drilling I tried to stop her and tell her I was in a great deal of pain, but she kept drilling. Could not believe it. Guess she didn't feel the pain, so she didn't care.
Plenty of other dentists in the area to choose from!

After reading the two negative reviews on Dr. Wayer I can't believe they're talking about the same Dr. Wayer I go to! My experiences with her have the exact opposite from what they described. It makes me wonder if maybe they are somehow connected to one of her competitors. I have never been treated in any way coldly and they have never tried to sell me anything. Dr.Wayer and her staff are the sweetest, kindest, most patient and attentive people I've ever dealt with in any medical setting, and I've dealt with many in my 59 years. I don't understand the complaint about the office being business-like. No, they don't sit and hold your hand the whole time because they are busy, and they are busy because they are excellent and professional, and if you need someone to sit and hold your hand I wish you lots of luck because you won't find that at ANY medical office. One of the amazing things about this office is that even though they are a very busy office I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes to be seen. I would be much more concerned if the office WASN'T run efficiently. As for the person who had a problem with an appointment around a holiday, I'm guessing there was some kind of missed communication that had more to do with the patient than the office. Several of Dr. Wayer's employees have worked for her for many years and there's a good reason for that, and from what I've seen these people will go out of their way to take care of you. Even though I've moved to another town I continue to make the trip to Crestview because Dr. Wayer and her staff are just that good.

I called them for an appointment as soon as I broke my tooth which was on a Thursday. They said they couldn't get me in until Tuesday following the Monday Holiday. I arrived there Tuesday well ahead of my scheduled appointment. When I signed in and the person at the front desk told me that my appointment was cancelled, but supposely they tried contacting me at work. I have voice mail but it seems no one had left a message for me to call them back. The person behind the front desk suggested that I could comeback in @ 3pm that afternoon. I am sorry, if the people that run the company I work for that way. We would not be in business that long. I just hate to see when someone's business grows beyond quality to become quantity.

I loved Dr. Wayer and all of her staff. From the moment I walked in the door, to the time I left it was nothing but friendliness. When you walk in and check in, the staff is friendly and professional. Plus they have apples on a counter, and water in the refrigerator for people who are waiting. Once called back, all of the technicians were very friendly. They explained everything they did as well as everything they found. Then the doctor came in, explained what she was seeing and what she felt needed to be done for it. Then as I was being checked out, I was given the opportunity to do it in one visit or multitude, depending on what I could afford. The appointments were made in a timely manner and check out was easy. Plus two of my children have been in to see her as well. My youngest wasn't even aware that he had been given an injection for a filling, that's how great she is!! I would recommend Dr. Wayer to anyone who was looking for a dentist!

Dr. Wayer's office is technically top notch; clean, orderly, and very attractive. The problem is that from the desk up to the dentist herself, this place is COLD COLD COLD. You understand from the jump that this place is all about business, nothing more. Whether in person or on the phone, the staff is indifferent to the point of being snooty. It's almost as if they take pleasure in telling you how "booked" the Almighty Dr. Wayer is, and how grateful you should be to see her at all! When I did finally get an appointment, NOBODY but the desk staff spoke to me. Imagine how awkward it feels to have folks working on your mouth without ever addressing you, or even commenting on the weather! Dr. Wayer never introduced herself, said hello, said ANYTHING. I'm just a lowly patient, after all. I heard plenty of strange sounds indicating she saw things that she didn't like - I assume this is why as I left, the aforementioned desk staff tried hard (SUDDENLY FRIENDLY!) to sell me an expensive Sonicare system I can get at Walmart for half the asking price. I'm not making any personal snap judgements here: both of my children echoed my feelings of discomfort and dread following visits to Dr. Wayer. She never hurt us or caused us a dental problem, but if chairside manner is important to you, GO ELSEWHERE. Also, after I found a new dentist, I realized that Dr. Wayer had booked me for multiple appointments to handle issues that could have been finished in one visit. (This of course insures she reaps the maximum from my dental benefits and my wallet.) She's done this to a family member and another friend of mine as well. My new dentist could not believe it was going to take any dentist four visits to accomplish what he did in one hour. Even if you have teeth like an Osmond, plan on being told you MUST return for further work with a vague end in sight. I did get some concerned conversation from her staff eventually...they called me when I had a balance of about 80 cents that was 30 days overdue! It was this call that finally shocked me into cancelling all my follow up work, and finding a dentist who treats patients as they really are: his livelihood. From now on when I hear that a doc of any kind is impersonal and rude, I am going to listen and run the other way. I wasted alot of time and worry dealing with Dr. Wayer. I did however, pay my balance of 80 some-odd cents.
