I had my neck surgery done in the middle of April 2011 by Dr. Wellington Hsu in Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago. I am so glad I had it done that and chose the best doctor. I did not write a review right away because I wanted to wait until my neck really felt good and stable for my daily activities because I play tennis almost every day.

I had found out that I had a C4 and C5 disc problem on my neck two years ago, and I got better three months later by resting and getting therapy. Two years later, the pain started again. I could not normally walk. Though my hands and legs had strength, every movement affected my neck pain. I wished I would be as lucky as two years ago, but this time the pain did not go away. I still did not want to go under a knife. So I did acupuncture, therapy and took medicine; however, nothing helped for a few months. The pain destroyed my happy life. I am sure that you could imagine if you have the same problems.

I talked to a few surgeons who looked at my MRI, and all of them said that I had to do surgery. One of them said that I should not ever play tennis after my surgery. I was crying whole way to home because I could not enjoy my passionate hobby (playing tennis) the rest of my life. I was so desperate until I found another tennis player had gone through exactly the same circumstances and was once again playing tennis. She told me that Dr. Hsu did her surgery three months ago and she felt very well. She also said that she wished she could have done it earlier because she felt so good now, but she was afraid like me that didn??t want to go under the knife. Every other treatment that she and I had done just helped a couple of hours and went back to pain again.

After I saw Dr. Hsu, I knew he would be my surgeon. His does his job just likes he looks: clean, smart, stylish, confident, and professional. I am very happy with the result of my surgery, and I have come back to my happy life again. My neck movement doesn't feel different than before I had disc problems. Tennis is still my favorite thing to do now. I hope everyone who has the same problem is just as lucky as I am to find a good doctor for your healthiness and happiness.
