She is a terrible doctor, very immature person and could care less about her patients. Maybe worst in the state!

Today I had my quarterly check-up with Dr. Barnes.
Actually it was next week but she was glad to accommodate me, due to a change in my schedule. I always leave her office wondering why I get such quality medical care and good service. I have never gotten this before from any doctor. I feel she looks after me as a dedicated medical professional and then there is something more, I can only say maybe she considers her patients ohana.

Of course I am expected to do my part in maintaining my health after Dr. Barnes advises me how she feels is best to do this. She sets attainable goals and recognizes sometimes we try hard but do not quite get there by our next appointment. She recognizes many of her patients such as myself have no insurance and is always ready to help with some free samples if she has them.

I would not be alive today if I had continued the lifestyle I was living and had Dr. Barnes not spotted the cardio problem post my heart attack (prior to the heart attack I was not in her care). She then sent me to a top cardiologist who made some tests and inserted a stent.

Then with Dr. Barnes's continued, routine medical care and lifestyle changes I am living a normal, active life. The echo cardiograms I have had over the last 3 years have born this out. The results are interpreted by a 3rd party so my recovery and improved cardio health is backed up by data!

Dr. Barnes does expect you to do your part. She can not change your lifestyle, that is up to you. She will not tell you what you want to hear but what the facts are. Today as I left her office, I thought, I am very luck to be under Dr. Barnes care.

Gladys who takes care of the accounts has even called medical specialists Dr, Barnes referred me to and ask them to consider the fact I have no insurance when they are billing me. I am always surprised at how she manages to always get some sort of discount and often more than I expect!

If it were not for Dr. Barnes and her staff I probably would not be here today and definitely would not be able to afford the medical care she provides, including the sample drugs she has provided me with since my heart attack.
