West Los Angeles Chiropractic
The Car Accident is why I found this place to begin with, but now that case is long gone and I still go here. I truly value the attention and care I receive here. I get stretched and some PT each time and the adjustments feel soo good.
They care and about making you feel pain free. My insurance covers chiropractic and acupuncture with a $10 co-pay. Not bad at all. And they are open Saturdays. Hello. .. .
I am more than happy to recommend this office. Hi Betty!
This is a great group of people. GP is what I call them. Just good people. They helped me and didn't waste my time since day one. Staight forward and great care. Dr. Karr is a good adjustor and I appreciated finding someone like him who doesn't mess around with gaggits and such.
Was invovled in a car accident recently and went to West LA Chiropractic. Glad I did. They do it all here. Muscle stim, traction on my lower back, massage and chiropractic adjustments. Dr. Karr rocks with his adjustments!
They found me an attorney and thus far I'm feeling much better.

I got a really fair deal from this place. I wasn't sure even though they told me twice over the phone my first visit would be $50 if I didn't have insurance. Well it was and I got an exam, x-rays and an adjustment with some ultrasound. I was impressed. I never felt rushed and I felt my needs were being met.
It's a large office with a caring staff. all modern and right at the Olympic and Sawtell. I'm sticking to Saturdays and Oh BTW, parking is free.

I was involved in an car accident with my friend. I was a passenger and we got rear ended while coming home from a concert. The car was totaled and was shocked to say the least. I found Dr. Karr from my friends/drivers attorney. The driver went to a chiropractor closer to his work.
Everyone at the office was very kind and helpful. The paperwork took a little while and than the exam and treatment were professional. I returned the following day to review my era findings with the doctor and Karr gave a very clear and unrushed report. He took the time to answer my questions and explain how the care I received would progress. At about the third week they started me on stregthening exercises which I feel took my overall treatment beyond how I was feeling prior to the accident.
I am a believer. Greg, the driver came with me once and said this office blew the office away eh went to and that Karr was very friendly. He wished he also went here from the beginning. We both told our attorney how much we thought of Dr. Karr and the staff.
In the end we settled the case and we were told Dr. Karr reduced his bill so as to make it fair for all parties. Just good energy all around this office.

I'm not much of a writer, but I will say that this office was FLY. No problems, just straight forward treatment with no hassle and reasonable fees. My doctor and friend suggested this office.
Helped me during my pregnancy and always felt safe.

Dr. Karr is a life saver. Had no idea about Spinal Decompression and that other options were available besides surgery. Do you know, none of the surgeons I saw even mentioned Spinal Decompression as a treatment. Just DRUGS, STEROIDS, and SURGERY. Hum. Those last 3 sounds pretty dangerous to me.
I got relief. After all was said and done probably 80-90% better and definately livable. Professional and caring.

Ive been going to Dr. Mike for many years and love him, the office and staff. It,s a rel blessing to have and know someone who is as capable as this office is. As chiropractors, they bend over backwards to make you feel at home and well taken cared for.
Its a fully equiped office with PT and workout machines. (MedX).
Monday thru Saturday and a great location.
Many thanks, Deeej

Why did I wait?
I had neck and shoulder pain from a softball injury that went on for nearly a month before I decided to deal with it. My girlfriend brought me to Dr. Karr and was treated better than I was hoping for. Never been to a chiro and never had an exam so thorough before.
Paid $50 on the first visit and when I returned the next day for my report I learned my insuraance covered by care. I asked them to apply the $50 to my co-payments each time of $5.
Sweet! I feel great and now get why people like chiropractic catre. I think Dr. Karr is amazing and so is his staff.

Did my research and found this office not only to have a Great staff and caring team, but also the lowest fees for spinal decompression becuase I was able to use my insurance which no one else seems to take for this new type of treatment. Thx You.\r
I've had nothing but good expiernces here. They haven't wasted any of my time since day one. They had been professional and concerned and caring. Dr. Karr's adjustments are good. This office doesn't use any gaggits, just straight forward chiropractic care with some Physical Therapy/Massage when I was hurting.\r
I appreciate this team. I only pay $10 per visit with my insurance plan.

Hurt myself playing tennis and my the pain kept getting worse week after week. A friend recommended Dr. Carr and I went after 3 weeks of pain. My neck, upper back and right shoulder were very concerning and painful to me. I am usually a qiuck healer, but not this time.\r
Dr. Carr did a thorough exam and xrays. After the 3rd treatment I noticed allot of relief in the evenings. Finally I could sleep.\r
I am very pleased on many levels and highly recommend this young man and office with no reservations.
What a great surprise. The office is very warm an open. The staff was attentive and upbeat. Dr. Karr was thorough in taking my history and my exam was the most detailed I've experience. I really like this office becuase of 3 reasons:\r
1) Dr. karr is a great adjustor and chiropractor. Easy going, intelligent and caring. Explains clearly what what he thinks is going on and how he wants to move forward with cool AS* x-rays.\r
2) Location, location, location. right guys?\r
3) The fees are very reasonable.\r
Betty and Seiko make it all the more worth wild to coming. Seriously they went out of there way to help me with my crazy AS* insurance company. \r
I feel better and I'm never pressured in signing up for any plans or what not. As the person before me said, Top Notch.
Imagine my surprise when I am sitting at my desk perusing chiropractic clinics and I come across a picture of Seiko. Umbaleebable. Can't wait to check out the clinic; if Seiko is involved it must be top notch.
Cons: They don't accept Von's card
I had a slipped disk...Mr. Karr helped me to get back on track. After his therapy session-my back was feeling great. Everyone in the office was very nice and professional. Thank you again!\r
Pros: Professional environment
My friend told me about Dr. karr and I am lucky I went. I waited to go thinking the pain would subside, but as I was told most people think the pain will go away and keep putting off seeing their Doctor. Oh well. They took my insurance and I was fortunate to have meet my deductable earlier this year. I had a co-pay of $10 per visit, which the $50 I paid for the first visit is going towards. I was explained all my insurance benefits on the second visit by Seiko. I found the office to flow well and do a detailed exam and treatment on me. Dr. Karr and his staff don't waste time, which I greatly appreciated, but I didn't feel like the treated me less then. This place is definately NOT a mill. I have been to other Chiro's and Dr. Karr did the most during an exam that I have had performed and is a good adjustor, which is the thing you want in a chiropractor.\r
The location and the 6 days they are open make it easy for me to get in there. I appreciated the care and hope they prove the same for you.
Pros: L-O-C-A-T-I-O-N & S-T-A-F-F & T-R-E-A-T-M-E-N-T
After about my 10th treatment on the Spinal Decompression I noticed a ~40% overall improvement. Definitely better in the mornings on a daily bases. They take my insurance for the treatment, which is a plus! ""HELLO"". \r
I referred all my sisters to Dr. Karr. We use to see another chiro in San Diego who was also cool, but we've been in LA now for years. We're really happy here. Professional, bright and warm. Dr. Karr's office is pretty clear on answering your questions. \r
I was suppose to write this awhile back and am only getting to my reviews now for the New Years! Ha... I said I would though and I always keep my promises, so they say. \r
Listen, Dr. Karr doesn't spend allot on advertising it seems, so he passes the saves on to his patients. What have you got to loss? If after one visit it's not for you, don't go back and you're out $50 for those without insurance (fyi). \r
He gets my vote of confidence.
Pros: Great Experience. Reasonable fees.
The Decompression has really given great relief after struggling for two years with five different doctor's.\r
After 3 weeks I feel about 40% improvement.\r
For nearly a year I've had Plantar Fasciitis, but didn't think of telling Dr. Karr while I was being treated. I sought treatment else where with no relief. \r
Last month I mentioned to Dr. Karr the pain I was having was getting worse. Dr. Karr took XRays and fit me with new (leather type)orthotics. I didn't feel comfortable in the hard plastic ones. He started doing activator work and specific adjustments for my plantar fasciitis and after the first week I had noticeable relief. More then anyone was able to give me.\r
Now I feel at least 50% better. I didn't think of telling Dr. Karr, but believe me I am very happy with the results. 9 months with no help made me depressed. Now I have hope and feel better.\r
Thank you Dr. K
Pros: Warm Office- Caring Doctor - Low fees- No More Pain
Cons: Didn't know chiropractor's worked on Plantar Fascitis
I first went to Dr. Karr for neck pain. I'm happy to say that he was very helpful in relieving my pain and I know see him every throughout the year for maintance. His treatments last anywhere between 15 to 45 minutes depending on your problem. He works worth other doctors and I know he refers, as I was referred to him at the begriming.\r
Dr. Karr has spent the time to take many extra courses, including radiology and is very active in raising money for charities. His office is well equipped. He has been on the Internet for nearly 10 years and has few poor review. He is busy and I feel confident sending him my friends. They all have had a good experience and I know some have written reviews.\r
His staff is well trained and they are open on Saturdays. He has been in the same location most of that time.\r
I met Dr. Karr through my orth, Dr. Schwartz, who by the way is a patient and does the Medx.\r
For $50 on the first visit, how can you go wrong? I am sure you will feel confident and comfortable with his care. \r
Find out why he is getting such wonderful reviews and why he is as busy as he is. Has to be doing something right!\r
Pros: Kind-Low Prices-Highly Skilled- Experienced- Convienant
Cons: Other Doctors write False reviews pretending to be patients
I am sorry to say I had the worst experience going to the west la chiropractic for the 1st time. I went to help to get longer sleep, as I can't sleep for very long. Dr. Carr only cracked the uppermost vertebrae (closest to the medulla) and immediately finished after 5 minutes. I left feeling hot and throbbing. Ever since then I have had the worst jolts of pain and can not sleep or do anything on my left side. Yes, I am left handed, and I can sleep, lift, do yoga, and many normal daily tasks, like holding my purse on my left shoulder or picking up the groceries with my left hand. My life has become debilitating. Before I was feeling fine and never had any pain whatsoever. The pain now comes from the upper vertebrae located in the base of the head, from his twisting and cracking has changed my life for the worst. the pain is paralyzing as it grips up and shoots down my left shoulder and left arm. I am in so much pain and wish i never went to his office. When the pain comes, I can't even speak or do anything except hold my left arm and curl my head to the left to stop the shooting paralyzing pain.
Cons: normal neck turned into daily nightly pain
I am from Italy, I came to LA few months ago.\r
I did not expect to have any major problem with my back pain and I have to admit that I was tempted to go back to Italy to be cured. Luckily I didn't and I met Dr Karr and his team!!!\r
Serious, efficient, knowledgeable and with the right tools (spinal decompression included) Dr Karr has helped me once and for all to get rid of my backpain!\r
Thanks Dr Karr, I owe you one!\r
Pros: Professional with great resolve
Very accomendating and friendly. Takes good care of our office staff and takes our insurance. Easy to get to and understands our strange schedules. Pretty much sees most of the people from Gehry Partners.\r
The office is busy for a reason. I say YES.
Cons: Need coins for parking
Friends sent me to Dr. Karr. Office and staff was friendly and had a warm feeling. Thorough exam on 1st visit & treatment. 2nd visit went over findings and I decided to commit to the rec care. I feel better and stronger. 1st time w/ chiropractic care & i'm a believer.\r
Pros: UCLA ALUMNI-Location-Dr. Karr & Staff
Cons: Doesn't work at the UCLA Dock
Told of this office by another employee. Takes our insurance for DRX Spinal Decompression. It works and I feel like I did years ago. \r
Pros: Insurance cover most, 5min from studio, great office
Found the office via a flyier on campus. Has a great plans for UCLA students and staff. I found the office well run, concerned and caring. Dr. Karr gave a clear understanding of my problem and I decided to make the time needed to resolve my back pain. \r
I am happy with the out come.
Pros: UCLA FRIENDLY, ATTENTIVE, CONSIDERATE
Why waste time looking? Dr. Karr is the real deal. All modern office and large with strengthening equipment! Works well with the Decompression. Applied insurance towards balance. Nice! \r
I told my crew at work and he is coming to give a lecture!
Pros: Price - Experience - Staff
Dr. Karr and his staff are caring and professional. They understand how to treat lower back pain fast. It worked out for me in a short period of time.\r
Pros: Knows Low Back Pain
Cons: Don't like riding Olympic on Bike!
As a pilot out Santa Monica airport I know. I have back pain from time to time. I deal with it till it hurt too much. As I get older I notice the pain keeping me from what I like to do. I found Dr. Karr from a friend actually who had seen him. He's a straight shooter. Knows his stuff and doesn't waste your time.\r
I didn't have Insurance, but he was reasonable. \r
""I'LL BE BACK""
Pros: Location, price, staff
Cons: Waited till I was older to deal with this.
Dr. Karr knows his thing. His office is set up with the newest equipment and flows well. He treats serious cases and knows back pain. I've refered some well known athelets to him and they have all been happy. I trust this office. Dr. Karr also networks with other professionals if it is needed. I actually meet him by my family Internist. \r
My experience is a good one.
Pros: Professional, knowledgeable, Takes Ins
My experience was smooth. I went in got an exan and xrays and treatment. $50 bones for that visit. Then came back for a second visit to go over exam and xrays with Dr. Karr. It was presented in a clear and quiet room with a large FLAT screen TV. The computer marked my XRays. Cool. Dr. Karr suggested two different plans that could benefit my budget and let me decide what was best for me. I never felt pressure or rushed. He left the room to see another patient and let me think about it.\r
I can tell he LOVES being a chiropractor. I hope this helps. I have had 3 chiropractors in the past & like Dr. Karr the best.
Pros: Easy to understand, No waiting, Price
AT first I had a hard time finding how to enter the building. South side-FYI. Office is up beat, Zen Like, modern Equipment, Helpful staff. Dr. Karr is busy, but he gives you what you came for. NO PAIN! Great adjustor and very fast. It's done before you can think about it. I like that. When I was a kid, my family chiropractor adjusted me like that.\r
Very reasonable fees. I have been a patient for 4 weeks now. Thanks
Pros: GREAT OFFICE, STAFF, Doctor
Cons: Bring coins for the meters
Location was easy. Parking easy. (Marshalls). Large and modern office with large staff. everyone works hard for you and you feel trust for the office pretty quickley. I had sharp constant pain in my lower back for ~15 months. All the MD's wanted to do was surgery. NOT! After the 6th treatment with Dr. Karr I started feeling better throughout the day. He is definately the BEST PRICED OFFICE. Doesn't have to pay for expensive Radio shows etc. He is also busy which, to me, is a good sign. I personally liked Dr. Karr and the staff allot. Betty is definately helpful also.\r
This office trys hard.
Pros: Location, Price, Knowledge, staff & Dr. Karr
Cons: No TX on Wednesdays
More then I was expecting. Very detailed and thorough history, exam, treatment and report. I like the vibe of everyone. even the other patients were cool.
Digital X-Rays are cool stuff. Adjustment was the real deal. Old school. Very fast and comfortable. Dr. Karr explained the problem like no one else. This has been with me, on and off, for years. The explanation just made sense. Took my insurance and I had a small co pay each time.
The answer is YES for this office and Dr. Karr.
Pros: Hours, STAFF, Cost, Knowledge of Dr.Karr
Cons: Parking. Bring change
Thanks Dr. Karr for the years of caring for me and my family. You've seen it all with me and the family and we appreciate you very much. Life is about people and the relationships you have. Helping eachother and just being a good person while were here. You are dependable, constant, always try hard to help, support raising funds for your charity, keeping current and positive. You truely care about other as it seems to come easy for you. It all rubs off to us when we come in. You're a real Mensch!
Pros: Such a MENSCH
Found Dr. Karr from friends and we just did my re-exam yesturday one week early. I feel great. I feel better then before this injury that brought me to a chiropractor happened. Didn't know how stiff I really was and or what it felt like to really feel good. Not feeling pain is one thing, but felling better then I have for years is another. Karr will be in my life as a resource for a long time. That goes for my kids too!\r
Staff is real relaxed and helpful. Parking is plentiful and Saturdays are a plus!
Karr gives a fair visit and deal - I found his ad on the internet. Staff was decent in their handling of my visit.
Cons: must watch meter to park
I know Chiropractors, since I've been been to many over the years and Dr. Karr is in the top 3 I've ever been too. The other two chiropractors retired, but Dr. Karr has the confidence and knowledge that makes you feel he's been practicing over 30 years. (FYI- He's been practicing since 1993). I've sampled many doctors after my last one retired and finally was suggested I meet Dr. Karr. I did and I'm thankful my friend told me about him. He's the real deal. He's quick with the adjustments which is what I think works best for me and feels the most comfortable. Staff tries to be of assistance as needed and are all up beat. Location and parking are a plus. Everything is modern (Digial XRays & Spinal Decompression Machine) \r
I offer honest feed back for a living so trust me when I say Dr. Karr is good at what he does. If you like him, take the time to tell others, cause this is what it's all about!
Pros: Bedside Mannor, Scope of knowledge, staff, location, fees
Dr. Karr and his staff are upbeat and truely caring. The office is much more relaxed then the ones I have been to in the past. Since moving here I have not been disappointed with this office and or Dr. Karr. He knows his stuff and explains it very well. He's patient and always willing to find the time to further discuss your xrays again and or your concerns. He does get very busy and I think that is a great sign. I see people bring friends in to met Dr. Karr often, so ""word of mouth"" is the best advertising if your good. That's what I think a least. Ultimately, Dr. Karr is a terrific adjustor and does his best for challenging cases such as myself. I feel better then with anyone else and I have been going to a chiropractor since my parents took me as a child. Very reasonable fees and very easy office hours. Parking is fine. BTW- I bring my family to him when they come to visit me and they say the same thing. Better then the Chiro's the see back east. Thumbs Up!
Pros: Caring, Knowledge, great adjustor, and personal.
I've known Dr. Karr for awhile, but never really needed his care, till recent. Wow, what insight to what he really does for people on a daily basis. I found myself in extreme pain in my lower back. Unable to move well for days and not getting better, I turned t Dr. Karr for HELP. His staff was very helpful and busy. I had more of an exam with Dr. Karr then anywhere I've been to before. X-Rays were recommended and the following day we discussed them. Dr. Karr is well spoken and direct with explainig the problems at hand. The adjusts were a bit nerve racking at first, but I must admit that they were very comfortable and the improvement in decreased pain and increased motion was immediate for me. I GET IT. CHIROPRACTIC. I GET IT NOW! Great vibe at the office and well run. Thumbs up...
Pros: Modern Office, Great Vibe, Staff, and really good adjustor -Dr. Karr!
I've been to several offices and Dr. Karr is the BEST. Betty was such a help on the phone and helping with insurance and explaning it to me. She's da bomb! Wait till you meet her. Dr Karr does a full history and exam with Digital X-Rays before he treated me. Set up a return visit to take the time to explain what he sees, answer my questions, and goes over treatment options the best fit my needs. Killer adjustments. Quick and comfortable. I surf like he adjusts! He owns it. You'll see what a GOOD ADJUSTMENT feels like and alwasy know the difference from this point forward, I promise. Real down to earth office. Thanks.
Pros: GREAT ADJUSTOR, BETTY, Digital X-Rays, Location, Free Parking, Saturdays
Very friendly staff. Best adjustment in years. I felt great. THIS PLACE IS THE ""TALK"" OF THE TOWN. Get your back adjusted now! Your back will thank you for it. THanks ""west Los Angeles Chiropractic. You feel feel like a new you.
Pros: Excellent. Everything is perfect.
Cons: forget your research COME HER! Don't wast any more time.
I've called around inquiring about spinal Decompression. I listen to a radio show regarding Decompression, spoke and visited with that office and several others. I started with Dr. Michael Karr before reviewing other facilities and was very comfortable and confident that Dr. Karr offered a very professional presentation. His first treatment was at NO CHARGE. All I needed was an MRI report, which I showed him. He was the MOST reasonable priced office by far. As stated on the top of his home page, ""with insurance it was $3490"". End of story. After about the 6th treatment I really started noticing increased comfort and less radiculopathy into my legs. Being an attorney, I sit for long periods at a time. This only made matters worse for me. In addition, he's close enough I can walk there from my office for treatments. But being near the 405 and 10 freeways is very convienant. I would recommend Dr. Karr. I think he and his staff are professional, up beat, and go the extra distance to assist you with billing, booking appointments and reminder calls.
Pros: Costs, Staff, Knowledge of injuries, Location
Cons: Wasted time researching other
I am a lawyer and don't have much free time, so when my back and neck gave in on me, I needed fast and professional care. My associate recommended Dr. Karr to me, so I gave him a shot. I am very happy I did, because I was treated as a VIP patient from day one. I was able to book reservations same day, and last minute without hesitation. Each time I came in, I felt I had received personal therapy and professional care, and I never felt rushed out. Saturday office hours are a real plus for me since I work a lot during the week. I would recommend this office to my friends and family.
Pros: Ease of scheduling appointments, Saturday office hours
Cons: Not open 24 hours - Ha ha!
I fly regularly from Canada to the US and need to maintain my adjustments, so after looking for a longtime and trying various doctors everywhere, I can tell you Dr. arr is the BEST. Gentle, exact, and fast adjustments. There's no kidding around with those adjustments. It's like when I was a child and would get adjusted by this Chiropractor in Canada. He has this in him to give, just like watching someone paint and you know they know it! He's office is large and Modern. He goes into explaining the problem with you and answers all you questions with detail. Look for the 32"" flat screen he shows you your Digital X-Rays on. Real nice touch. Fun staff and helps me with booking and cancelling appointments without a complaint! :)\r
Pros: Adjustments, smart, great staff, knows of to treat various problems
Cons: Deosn't take ins. from Canada! Ha...
I had a wonderful experience at Dr. Karr's office. I had a car accident and Dr. Karr was able to treat me so that my pain was 99% improved in a relatively short amount of time. His office was very competent and professional when handling the legal and insurance issues involved with my case. I didn't have to worry that something was being overlooked. Dr. Karr was on top of it all, and his adjustments and different therapies were very effective. His staff are all very friendly and the environment is stress free. I would recommend this office to anyone who needs chiropractic care.
Pros: Professional Care with stress reducing environment
I feel better every time I leave Dr. Michael Karr's office. Even the days I think I feel fine and go get an adjustment anyway, I feel great. And on the days I really need one...this doctor really knows what he's doing. Thanks Dr. Karr!
Pros: A doctor who really knows what he's doing, friendly staff
My friend went to go see him a few months ago after seeing his online advertisement - he wanted to do spinal decompression and according to him on the phone they said it was all covered by insurance I think it was just to get him in the door. Karr's office was not professionally run in my opinion - and the pricing was outrageous - and the insurance stuff was real interesting. Do your homework - would not recommend. Go see someone in the valley or south bay instead! Stay away from Michael Karr and this office!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pros: convenient if you live close - but not worth it
Cons: upsales!!! also, the insurance issues - and in general did not like the staff or Karr.
