I wanted to share what a great experience I had at Wildwood Dental. The front office staff is very friendly and makes you feel very welcome. I only waited in the waiting room for a few minutes before they took me back. I was having prep work done for a crown, and they took the time to explain the procedure and make me feel very comfortable, even offering warm blankets. Both Dr. Skibiel and his assistant Carmen were very informative, percise and gentle. I had no problems at all with my temporary, and my new crown was ready right on schedule. My next appointment for my crown seat only took about twenty minutes, and it has felt perfect ever since. I would definitely recommend Wildwood Dental to family and friends. It is a very professional dental office with extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff.

I recently had my first visit to this office and found it to be a nice office and very affordable! I don't have insurance and was so surprised at how generous they were and how they made me feel like I would really be taken care! They are extremely gentle, explained everything and answered my questions at length. I have a hard time reading or believing any bad reviews, but I suppose everyone has a different experience and OPINION, as well as their own PERCEPTION. Overall I would highly recommend them, and while they were not perfect, they provided very good care and seemed very genuine when doing so. 4-5 stars all the way.

I would not recommend having any work done at Wildwood dental. I have been a patient with them for over 5 years, my parents are patients there as well. Both my parents and I have had several unncessary procedures done while under their care. They are money hungry and do not actually care about their well being of their patients. Recently I went off of my parents dental insurance because I turned 25. I am college student working on my degree in nursing, I decided to opt out on dental insurance so I could afford health insurance. Two weeks ago I cracked my tooth over the weekend, I immediatly contacted Dr. Hayre the oncall emergency dentist, he assured me they would see me and fix the tooth when I came in on Monday. I was able to get in on the monday, they took xrays and did a consultation where Dr. Skibel who told me they would get me in within the week for the extraction and they would call me the next day to schedule the extration. I waited and they never called me after calling several times and messages they finaly scheduled an appointment when I contacted them on that friday; they scheduled me the following week with Dr. Beck after almost two weeks. I arrived to my appointment to find out that it was a second consultation which they never notified me about, I became frustrated because I have been in pain and it is finals week which has caused stress and in turn causes more pain because stress causes inflammation. I expressed my concerns and the dental assistant became very rude as if it was my fault they did not notify me, then i explained that I will do business elsewhere and she said fine that is quite alright. I decided to finish the consultation after pleading for them to remove the tooth, they had no concern. They scheduled me another week later, going on 3 weeks, later that evening my tooth became loose. I called the following morning and explained that I need to get in earlier to have it removed, I was told to "baby the tooth" which I have already been doing. I asked what happens if part of the tooth comes out, and Ashley smuggly told me " I wouldn't need to come in then." I asked if part of it breaks off what am I suppose to do? She replied, "wait until your appointment." I decided to go to an emergency dental care office, I tried to request my xrays I previously paid for which was $61, when I called back and asked for them, they told me I wouldn't be able to get them without the Dentist signing off and I would have to pay an additional $25!!!! I explained they have been rude, uncaring and inconsiderate of my situation and they want to take more money from me for something I paid for, I don't find that acceptable after the way they have treated me, she became rude as well and transferred me to someone's voicemail to request the xrays and they never called me back. This seems like a classic situation of profit over people, I was able to pay for this procedure but because they were not making a lot of money off of the procedure they treated me horribly and didn't care that they were doing so.

I really enjoyed my experience at Wiidwood Dental this past week, I am usually afraid of the dentist and have high anxiety plus no dental insurance... I looked up this office online and printed out the coupon for the "free new patient exam" (which totally helped my bank account) and was the main reason I drove so far to see the dentist. The assistants were friendly, the doctor was thorough and made me understand exactly what was going on with my teeth, and they offer appointments late in the evening so I can get my teeth cleaned after work, which helps when you don"t have time to make appointments in the 9-5 area. I drove 45 minutes to come to this office and I am looking forward to doing it again in another 6 months for my next cleaning.

**Remember good reviews can be fudged, but bad reviews on the other hand...you know are not fudged.

I went to Wildwood because of the location and beautiful building. Little did I know I would be paying for the building. They gave me a deep cleaning (I am sure all patients require this) RED FLAG! I paid nearly $800 for the cleaning and x-rays and then when they said I needed a crown my dental insurance was nearly maxed out. I moved here from Oregon, but have always taken very good care of my teeth. I shudder to think of what a person without insurance or who has not been to the dentist every six months will have to pay to be seen here.

They are rude, and frankly I feel only care about money. You have to pre-pay to schedule an expensive appointment. I understand having to pay for services at the time of the appointment--the whole world has to do this and dental should be no different, but this place is money motivated and I fear they may not be ethical.

When I called to ask them to send my records to my new dentist I was informed that I would be charged $25 for them. My new dentist was shocked and offered to pay the amount for me. That's honesty. Yep, I paid Wildwood once and now I must pay to get them to my new dentist. If they have digital x-rays there should be no cost in duplicating them. If not, they are not a modern dental office...are they? They charged me over $150 for the x-rays and then charged again. Ethical? I think not.

Please do yourself a favor and research this office. Go in, ask questions and then when they tell you that you need a periodontal scaling and root planing because you NEED a deep cleaning....think about it. Do you have deep pockets around your gums? Have you neglected your teeth for years? In your heart do you need it, or is the guilt they push on you making you think you have poor gums and if you don't pay them HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS of dollars for a cleaning you are a loser? Do you need to see a dentist who is money motivated like this, or do you want to see a dentist who may realize there is money in just having a patient that returns for years?

I am going to call the Dental Board when I am done here and do a bit more research. I should have done this first.

This is my experience with Wildwood Dental and I am afraid it was the worst experience I have ever had with a dentist. I wish I could give zero stars. I wish I had never gone to Wildwood. I wanted to pay for my dental work, as I should, but I did not want to pay for the dentist's BMW, his second home, his boat and his trips around the world. I just wanted clean teeth.

I've had a lot of dental work done over the last several years. Every time I've been in, the Wildwood Dental staff has made sure I was relaxed and comfortable. Even extensive dental work was relatively pain free.

I also appreciated Wildwood Dental's approach to explaining what needed to be done. They developed a long term treatment plan and only recommended work that was truly necessary.

Disillusioned customer...

My family of 5 has been a patient of Wildwood Dental for over 15 years.

Recently, Wildwood has expanded the practice and has chosen to segregate the practice based on insurance payments.

My family has always been very diligent about 6 month preventive maintenance and has had very few dental issues. Therefore, through Boeing, we have selected an insurance plan that covers the minimum of dental care and apparently pays less to the dentist.

Delta Dental-Prepaid plan has always been sufficient for our family's needs. However approximately 6-8 months ago when the practice segregated based on insurances, we now have had to forgo our regular dentist for new, inexperienced and varied dentists who are apparently being "trained".

The most recent visit I had encountered a new, inexperienced dentist who had to ask the hygienist if adults receive fluoride treatments!

In addition, my husband had to cancel a recent appointment and following multiple phone calls to reschedule and being put on hold, leaving messages and not getting return phone calls, he gave up.

It is shameful that Wildwood would throw long-term, loyal patients to the side just because they are unable to obtain high $ volume to pay for their newly expanded facility. We are now seeking another practice.

Constantly try to sell treatments that aren't covered by your insurance, if you decline them, they wont honor your appointment. They also recommended treatment I didn't need.

It seems like a dental factory, and the hygienists are very nonchalant, not friendly like the smaller practices. Also, it's hard to get an appointment for on-going care. I went in for a cavity where my fillling had come out and was asked to come back in two months to have it filled. The appointment was spent doing X-rays, then they scheduled me to come back for a cleaning, and then 2 months out for the filling. 3 appointments to fill a tooth? By the time they get around to filling it, it just might need to be pulled instead! Hmmm....

I had my first deep cleaning today. I was really nervous, especially when i heard i'd need to come for multiple appointments. The cleaning was a breeze though! Everything was thoroughly explained, I was offered laughing gas, a numbing jelly, it was all painless.

As a new patient with Wildwood, I have found my dentist and his staff to be very comforting. I've had bad dental experiences in the past, but they truely understood. They were personal and took the time to put me at ease and make sure I was comfortable every step of the way!!

I have been going there for a few years; for some reason I am always left with a not so good feeling. The dental hygienists, many many young women through the years, do a pretty nice job doing 98% of the work, then the dentist comes in to "go over" what they do by doing a few of his own scrapings. This time it was explained that the work they did a few years ago must be redone, and I must pay four figures for it... again. What was really shocking is they insist on payment today for a procedure to be done in the future. That is their new policy. You can't "hold the date" unless you pay for it in advance. Other people might want the day and it wouldn't be fair. Something about this seems odd....

I needed a lot of work on my teeth, so the dentist told me he would write an appeal to my insurance. After 6 months of not hearing from them, I called and was told my insurance denied the appeal. I then phoned my insurance, who told me that they had accepted the appeal. I understand reimbursement isn't always very good, but I would have appreciated their intergrity in answering me truthfully.

I have recently put in a request to transfer my dental record (release information) to a new dentist and was told that there is a $15 charge for each person (3 in our family). In addition they will only transfer the x-rays, but not the whole dental record. This is the first time I have to pay ($45) for a request of dental record transfer. I understand that it's the clinic choice...."ouch"

This dentist was recommended from my husband's dental surgeon for a follow-up visit. They have extended hours during the week and are open on Saturdays. The dental assistants are very nice and put my kids at ease. The dentists took time to answer questions and let us know what was going on. The clerical staff was very pleasant in helping schedule future appointments & the kids got a prize to take home out of the treasure chest.
