.

Dr. Rylander and his staff were fine. My medical teatment was good.

The problem was from his billing office. I had a colonoscopy and an upper GI two days apart. I was suprised to find that his staff had to collect a $500 deductible for each of the two processes. I was suprised, but I paid. Afterall, this was more of an insurance issue with CIGNA, than a medical provider problem.

However ... after the both processes, I was billed over two hundred dollars by Dr. Rylander's office, another $190 from the surgical center, and $120 by the anestheseologist.

Dr. Rylander's Office called and left a message at my home once approximately 30 days after the two procedures, then immediately turned the balance over to a collection agency to collect

My issue is simple. Why with insurance do I have to pay approximately $1,500 for two covered proocedures and Dr. Rylander must know this cost, but no one discloses this to the patient. To turn this over to collection so quickly is a BAD policy and it angers this patient. Since this experience I do not trust doctors financially. They should be compelled to disclose the full maximum cost involved.
