Dr.Wright is AMAZING!

I brought my 2 year old in to see him for a second opinion this summer. Her previous doctor had her patching SIX HOURS a day and wanted her to have surgery for her Intermittent Exotropia. My gut feeling was that she was controlling the condition pretty well and that having surgery this soon would be 'jumping the gun.' Dr.Wright did a full exam and agreed that although he pretty much came to the same diagnosis as the previous doctor, he agreed with me. He strenghtened her prescription for her glasses (she has astigmatism) told me to patch her for TWO hours a day (what a relief!) and to bring her back in a month and a half. (The other doctor had us coming in once a month by the way...which was adding up!$)

A month and a half later she did better on her eye exam and Dr.Wright said she would not require surgery until she was at least 4 years old, if ever! He said that sometimes all it takes is strengthening the glasses~something that simple that her other doctor never even thought of! It is my opinion that Dr.Wright is always trying to find new ways to treat his patients instead of just going through the motions. We don't have to go back for SIX months! Trust me...he is NOT trying to get your money! Quite the opposite, actually!

PLEASE do not listen to the negative comments...I almost did and let me tell you~I am so happy that I went ahead and took my daughter in to see him! He saved us from going down the path of multiple surgeries on a toddler! He listens to me and is so sweet with my little girl! I will be forever grateful that this man came into our lives!

Please leave a comment if you have any questions...I will be more than happy to answer them!

Best,
Andie

Dr. Wright has been recommended by numerous parents at our school. He's an expert in strabismus ("lazy eye"). Plus, he has the single best waiting room of any medical professional I've ever seen. Good for both "normal" and tough cases.
