Dr. De Sabra is a wonderful doctor. She spends as much time with you as you need and never makes you feel rushed. She is very thorough in her exams. She explains all the options. She has always been available on short notice when I have had a problem and needed to see her. She is the epitome of what a physician should be.

Pros: takes her time with patients, answers questions

Cons: Office staff is a little rude

.

I had an appointment for a basic eye exam and to get my contact prescription refilled. The receptionist asked if I had brought my contacts with me--I had--and she said, in a patronizing tone, that I had to put them in for my "contact fitting". This confused me since these were OLD contacts and I was coming for NEW contacts, so I asked her, very nicely, about this, and she repeated what she had just said, again patronizing me, and now being downright rude (not to mention not listening to what I had said). I tried one more time, "These are old contacts, I am trying to get NEW ones", finally 'ol bright eyes listened to what I was saying, and when I finally asked again, "so do I need to put my contacts in?," she huffed, "No, nevermind". Then when she was copying my insurance information I saw her smirk with her coworker, which was clearly in response to me and how "stupid" I was. Furthermore, while I was in the waiting room waiting for my eyes to dilate after I had met with the nurse, I could hear her constant complaining every time she got off the phone with someone! Some woman was calling in, clearly stressed about her husband's upcoming surgery, and as soon as this receptionist got off the phone with her, she was whining and complaining and doing more huffing, "oh-my-god, " blah blah blah. I'm pretty confident that I probably have many many more years of education than this receptionist, and even if I didn't, she had absolutely no right to talk to me like I was a stupid idiot, especially since she had been wrong anyways. She is very lucky that Dr. de Sabra is such a nice competent woman, because otherwise I would never go back there. I am certainly considering changing doctors because of this. I mean, who wants to deal with some rude receptionist every time you call in or come in for an appointment? They should really hire better people for this job.
