While I found Dr. Marquis to be pleasant, and her staff extremely nice, I always felt that the dentist's motivation was seeking ways to make a profit over my dental care. Everything from Invisiline, to teeth brightening, to more extensive work (e.g. cap over filling) was pushed. Moreover, the office seems to thrive on processing insurance claims. There are many dentists to choose from in SF. She is not one I care to go to again. Oh, how I long for the days when I felt like my dentist was someone I could trust and depend on. I have a physician like that and hope my new dentist will fill the missing gap. Good luck.

I've been going to this dentist for the past two years now (super location - same building I work in). Dr. Marquis is the most attentive dentist I have ever met. At my last appointment, she spent 45 minutes looking at and talking to me about my teeth. I agree with another post that it seems they are big at plugging various services (invisalign, etc), but i still think they are sincere. If there was a con, it would be the hygeinists. One is a little strict and intimidating and the other is wacky, but friendly. Nevertheless, a good place and evening appointments available too.

We used to go here. Without discussing it with her, they replaced a filling in my wife's teeth with far more expensive material than she had agreed to. My wife refused to pay the difference. They sent it to a collection agency, which has had a severe effect on her credit rating. They are indeed pushy, and dishonest. I found Marquis to be especially unpleasant. She actually made fun of me in the chair in front of the assistants for my deciding to cap one of my teeth instead of pulling it. Unbelievable.

There are much better dentists in SF, just ask around.

San Francisco Dental staff were life-savers. I'm sure everyone can relate to my situation...

Background:
My closest buddy since I could ever remember asked me to be the best man of his wedding...his best man! So, my task was to make sure everything went perfectly on his special day. To relieve his wedding day jitters, I suggested that we catch up with some other friends and play a few games of basketball. Yes...you guessed it! One thing led to another...I trip...fall to the ground..hard..and realize that part of my front tooth had broken off. It was a very noticeable chip. My first thought was...how can I have a busted smile on my boy's special day! I immediately called San Francisco Dental, pleaded my case and was able to schedule an appointment with Dr. Marquis the same day.

Why I believe San Francisco Dental is amazing:
Try to imagine a 6'4" burly man looking franctic talking to a much, much shorter San Francisco Dental staff member who calmly reassured me that Dr. Marquis was aware of my circumstance (eg. me...best man in a wedding) and would be available shortly.

Without much of a wait, I was able to meet with Dr. Marquis and long story short...my tooth looked like new after she worked her dental magic.

The day or rather my smile was saved by San Francisco Dental. And, I am forever grateful because I will never have to look at the wedding photos in regret on my boy's special day.

Ok, so I went to this place on the recommendation of a friend of a friend. It was a year ago. I had significant problems with them afterwards sending me bills that I should not have owed. This place is terrible, which I knew last year, but now I have a new sense of how terrible and conniving they are.

I am 25 years old and this place invented my first ever cavity. I just went to my hometown dentist, who my family has been going to for years and trusts, and he spent about 5 or 10 minutes trying to find any evidence of my 'cavity' filling--he couldn't find it.

It's not that they did absolutely nothing he says, they probably did throw some expensive composite in there, into a really small indentation in the tooth, but looking back at the x-rays he still had on file for me from a year before they lied to me and took my money for this procedure, he said that it was highly, highly unlikely that I actually had my first cavity when I was there.

I know it's hard to afford such prime real estate in San Francisco, but unless you want to finance these quacks view of the bay with your own wallet, avoid this place like the plague!

Pure Rat Bastards.

Dentists and staff are very professional and personable. The office is run very efficiently, and it was relatively easy to get an appointment. Everyone seems to really know what they're doing, and they keep things moving along. I get the sense that I received high quality, personalized care. The office is well-kept, and the views are terrific. They're a little pushy on various additional cosmetic treatments but that may be the norm these days.

I was referred to this office from a colleague 2.5 years ago and have since referred many many others there. Not only are the staff incredibly nice and accommodating, their office has the greatest bay bridge views! The views make you forget that you are getting your teeth worked on..They have the latest technology and are small enough to know you every time you walk in the door!

PROS: wonderful people, wonderful dentists and technicians, great views,
CONS: parking is not great by the office (better to take public transportation)
