Dr. Gard is an excellent chiropractor. His adjustments are very effective and painless. I have seen him for several years now when I'm in town (I travel a lot) and I always feel better after his treatments. Many times I go in for a tune up even when I'm not in pain. Amazingly, I walk out feeling even better than when I went in. I'll feel easier movement and more relaxed every time.

He is also very pleasant to be around and doesn't push me to do or buy stuff I don't necessarily need. On the other hand, if he thinks I need something (a treatment or supplement) he is not afraid to recommend it. He is very knowledgeable about nutrition and overall body function.

Whether you are in pain or just looking for better health, I strongly recommend Dr. Gard.

Dr. McCall is A-Mazing. I went to see him because of an injury during the delivery of my baby. I had never been to a chiropractor before but a family member insisted that I see him since 4 weeks post delivery, I was clearly not recovering and could barely walk let alone take care of my baby on my own. I had seen my OB, general practitioner, a slew of other therapists to no avail and was terrified of seeing a chiropractor. I thankfully did and just days later, I was 100% better and finally enjoying my new baby.

After being somewhat apprehensive and of course in pain so reluctant to try new things, I was so incredibly surprised how much more went into Dr. Mike's methods beyond just a tug, push or twist and how comforting and helpful he was. He's not scary! Nutrition, exercise and the full circle emphasis on wellness really made me appreciate him and his practice. Now a few years later, after an automobile accident, he had been my ultimate go-to-guy for my recovery and there's absolutely no apprehension or fear. Just healing!

Dr. Gard has done life altering, amazing things for my son - at age 2 he found the need for Methylcolabamin B12 in him and his slight symptoms of autism (lack of emotional connection, rigid body and speaking delays) disappeared within 2 weeks from only a small daily dose in his juice.

One visit to Dr. McCall made my husbands shoulders go from feeling tight (like a thigh muscle) to feeling so loose and relaxed that, after 5 years together, I felt the bones in his shoulder area for the first time. And my husband felt great!

These men are amazing! The technique they use - Applied Kinesiology - may seem different to some folks, but it truly WORKS! If you hurt, these are the guys to see.

These guys literally changed my life. I sleep better, feel better and live better for their work. The techniques might be unfamilar to those accustomed to western medicine, but the results WILL amaze you. I recomend them to all my friends and family.

More about Zane R. Gard Jr, DC

Activator technique utilizes a small spring-loaded adjusting instrument to deliver a focused corrective impulse into the dysfunctional spinal segment. This technique is most commonly used in patients who prefer a low-force correction without the traditional "hands-on" thrust. The hand-held Activator instrument is specifically designed to deliver a controlled, light and fast thrust without undue strain to the patient. When any force, such as a chiropractic adjustment, intrudes into the body, muscles in the involved area are automatically contracted by reflex mechanism, in order to protect that area from the intrusion. The Activator instrument produces a thrust which is quicker than the body's reflexes can respond and tighten up the local muscles. In other words, the thrust delivered by the instrument is so quick that it accelerates ahead of the body's tendency to tighten up and resist the thrust of an adjustment. So, in simple terms, the force necessary to move and adjust the joint is developed by the "speed" of the instrument's thrust, and not by a high "force". So, although the Activator instrument produces a very effective thrust, it is felt as a very gentle sensation only. Because of the accuracy and controlled light force, Activator Methods adjustments are suitable and comfortable for all types of patients, ranging from pregnant women, babies and children, to athletes and seniors. Applied Kinesiology (AK) is an integrative health care system that views the body??s good health as a balanced Triad. The three components of interest are the Physical, Chemical, and Mental. Through it??s use we are able to evaluate and address your current state of health. These principles were discovered in 1964, and were refined over the past 45 years by the late Dr. George Goodheart, DC, and the dedicated group of healers whom he inspired. By drawing on the strengths of various methods of healing, such as acupuncture, chiropractic, and naturopathy, we are able to gain a deeper understanding of your body and it??s needs. This lets us avoid the trap of symptom-chasing and address the underlying cause. Therapies utilized may include: ?Specific Joint Manipulation/Mobilization ?Myo-fascial release/ART ?Meridian Therapy ?Cranial Techniques ?Clinical Nutrition ?Homeopathy ?Herbal Remedies In general, the applied kinesiologist finds a muscle that tests weak and then attempts to determine why that muscle is not functioning properly. The practitioner will then evaluate and apply the therapy that will best eliminate the muscle weakness and help the patient. Therapies utilized can include specific joint manipulation or mobilization, various myofascial therapies, cranial techniques, meridian therapy, clinical nutrition, dietary management and various reflex procedures. In some cases, the examiner may test for environmental or food sensitivities by using a previously strong muscle to find what weakens it. Applied kinesiology uses the - triad of health - chemical, mental and structural factors - to describe the proper balance of the major health categories. The triad is represented by an equilateral triangle with structural health as its base, and the upright sides representing chemical and mental health. When a person experiences poor health, it is due to an imbalance in one or more of these three factors. The triad of health is interactive and all sides must be evaluated for the underlying cause of a problem. A health problem on one side of the triad can affect the other sides. For example, a chemical imbalance may cause mental symptoms. Applied kinesiology enables the practitioner to evaluate the triad's balance and direct therapy toward the imbalanced side or sides.
