Claimyourbusiness

If you find your business on Insider Pages, but do not see a Claim Business link on your business listing page, that indicates your business has already been claimed. Many times someone from within your company has already claimed the listing. On occasion business owners will forget that they have previously claimed the listing. Regardless of the case, if you are unable to determine who claimed the listing, thus cannot access it, contact Customer Service at customerservice@citygrid.com so we can assist you in claiming your listing. You will need to verify you are the business owner in order for us to free up the business listing so that you can claim it. In most cases emailing us your business card (send as an attachment) connecting you to the business in question is sufficient.

If you do not see your business on Insider Pages and would like to add your business profile to our site, please work with our data provider, InfoUSA. They offer an Express Update service that allows merchants to update their listing data as well as add new businesses. Once you’ve added your business please allow 1 – 2 months for the information to be on Insider Pages. Find out more at: http://www.expressupdateusa.com.

How do I claim my business if it's already claimed?

From time to time, business owners will go to claim their business listing on Insider Pages only to find that is has already been claimed. To know if the business listing is claimed, when you sign in to Insider Pages, locate the business listing in question you wish to claim. If the listing is already claimed, you will not see a Claim Business link. If the listing is NOT claimed (meaning you can claim it at your convenience), you will see a Claim Business link.

Here is an example of what a business listing looks like when it's already been claimed:

Here is an example of what a business listing looks like when it's NOT claimed:

There can be many reasons why a business owner may come across their business listing only to find it's already been claimed:

  • The business owner claimed the listing previously but doesn't recall doing so.
  • Someone else from within the organization has claimed it.
  • An outside party has claimed the listing.

Regardless of the reason, if the rightful owner of the business wishes to gain access to their business listing, there are a few actions they can take:

  1. Try to sign in to Insider Pages using all known email addresses you have access to.
  2. Ask people within your company if they have claimed the listing, and if so, have them provide you the sign in and password information.
  • If you decide to contact us, please provide some form of evidence (e.g. a business card) verifying your association with this business so that we can assist you further. You can scan and attach any documentation you have verifying your association with this business in your email to us. Also, remember to include the URL to the business listing you are trying to access.

How do I report a review that is inappropriate?

Spam is any review that isn’t giving visitors what they came for: an honest depiction of a business or that has nothing to do with the business being “reviewed” (we really don’t want an invite to your nightclub when we’re trying to find a good dentist in Brooklyn). Also, if it looks like a review was written by a business or someone hired by said business we may remove it. The same goes for dishonest, slanderous “reviews” about your competitors. To report abuse please e-mail us at customerservice@citygrid.com with a link to the business profile page and indicate the review you're concerned with.

Why can't I see the Report Abuse link to report a review?

If you encounter a review that you would like to report to Insider Pages and you do not see a Report Abuse link underneath the review, the review was generated by Citysearch.Clicking on the link above the review marked ‘reviews from CitySearch’ will take you to your business profile on this site. See Citysearch.com Contact Us and FAQs for any questions.
