Insider Pages Fundraiser Program Terms and Conditions

By signing up your organization for a fundraiser with or participating in the Insider Pages Fundraising Program (the "Fundraising Program") you agree to the following terms and conditions (the "Program Terms"), in addition to the Insider Pages Website Terms of Service (Terms of Service).

The Fundraising Program enables organizations to raise money by having their supporters write online reviews of local businesses. Participants write reviews on Insider Pages about businesses they use. For each Qualifying Review, Insider Pages makes a donation to their organization. Now schools, little leagues, clubs and even national foundations can raise funds without having to sell anything or ask supporters for donations.

  • Signing Up. In order to create a fundraiser with Insider Pages you must complete and submit a brief form at our fundraiser registration page If you are not already a registered user on Insider Pages a new user registration will be generated for you automatically when you complete the fundraiser form. Insider Pages will notify you via email once your fundraiser is approved and will send you a link to a web page dedicated to your fundraiser on the Insider Pages website. This dedicated page is open to all participants supporting your fundraiser and provides up-to-date information such as the estimated dollar amount raised by your group, progress towards your stated fundraising goal, a list of your most active participants and other relevant information.
  • Qualifying Reviews. At the end of your fundraiser your organization will receive a certain dollar amount for each Qualifying Review. A "Qualifying Review" is one which meets the user review guidelines set forth in the Terms of Service in addition to the following requirements:
    • Your experience with the business or service reviewed must be a first-hand experience.
    • Your experience with the business or service reviewed must be a first-hand experience, and must have occurred within the last 24 months.
    • The reviewed company must still be in business.
    • Reviews of any chain locations, including but not limited to restaurant chains (McDonalds, Outback Steakhouse, KFC, etc.), gas station chains, movie theater chains and national or regional chain stores (Target, Dollar Tree, Home Depot etc.) DO NOT qualify. You are welcome to write reviews for these businesses but they will not earn your organization money for the fundraiser. More information on chains that are not acceptable for purposes of submitting user reviews during a fundraiser can be found here.
    • If you are reviewing a new business that you added to the Insider Pages database, the business must not be a duplicate. In addition, any information provided must be able to be verified by a third party source including another website, a business card, receipt, directory listing or other reliable source.
    • Proper grammar, punctuation and spelling must be used. No "text speak" or ALL CAPS.

  • Taxpayer Information. During sign-up, fundraiser organizers will be required to provide the tax identification number of the organization or person that will be the recipients of proceeds from the fundraiser. If the entity that receives funds from the fundraiser is not a tax-exempt organization identified in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, Insider Pages may send a Form 1099-MISC to such entity pursuant to applicable Internal Revenue Service guidelines.

You understand and agree that Insider Pages has no obligations in connection with the fundraiser other than those set forth in these Program Terms. You also agree that you will receive marketing and other electronic communications from Insider Pages associated with your fundraiser. For example, you may receive emails containing helpful tips on how to manage your fundraiser. Insider Pages reserves the right to reject an application by any organization to participate in the Fundraising Program for any or no reason. For avoidance of doubt, these Program Terms are in addition to, not in lieu of, the Terms of Service, therefore your registration of and participation in any fundraiser is subject to both these Program Terms and the Terms of Service.
