Winny Collection Alteration

I take pants here for alterations mostly - usually hems and sometimes to have them taken in so that they fit like a glove. Anne does an excellent job and has extremely good prices. It's certainly not a froo-froo place to get your alterations done, but if your objectives are good alterations at very cheap prices, she can't be beat!

Imagine Productions

Imagine Productions just shot my wedding in December in Pasadena. They were absolutely wonderful to work with. Geoff and Jennifer make an awesome team, and they are so friendly and professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We just received our completed video, and they did a phenominal job. I'm so surprised at all the footage they got, and I don't even remember seeing the cameras around much. That's the sign of a great videographer - an excellent video capturing every moment, when you never even knew they were there.

Vince Torbey, Pianist On Call

Vince Torbey played piano during my wedding cocktail hour. He was absolutely incredible. He is an extremely talented musician, and he was one of the most professional vendors I interacted with. He plays music of all kinds - jazz, classical, modern, Christmas, etc. Vince was there early, let us use his sound system, played for the cocktail hour (the guests loved it), and sent me a follow-up email. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He was definitely a hit!

Invisible Touch D J Entertainment

Mike was the DJ for my December 10, 2006 wedding in Pasadena, CA. He did a fantastic job. He was extremely professional, friendly, and fun. Our crowd absolutely loved him, and he got most of the crowd our of their seats for the whole evening. At least a couple guests requested a song that was on our "do not play list", and he told them they would have to get my ok before he would play it. (In the end, we did it, because it was the chicken dance, and my 9-year-old niece was DYING to do the chicken dance!) I cannot recommend them highly enough. Professional from beginning to end.

Melody Walker Weddings & Events

Melody Walker was the coordinator for my wedding in Pasadena, CA on December 10, 2006. She did an absolutely amazing job. Everything went very smoothly, and we did not have to worry about a single thing. She coordinated with our vendors, created a timeline for the day, assisted us with contracts, gave us tips on all aspects of the wedding, ran the rehearsal, assisted in decorating our site... she did everything! And the thing that I love about Melody is that it's like having an extra mother - but a mother who happens to be an expert in weddings! She was less like a drill sergeant (like some of the other coordinators we interviewed), and she really put her heart into our wedding. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

While she is located in Orange County, she also does weddings in the Los Angeles area and beyond.

Kathleen Clark Photography

Kathleen Clark is an extremely talented photographer. She shot my wedding in December in Pasadena, and the photographs are absolutely beautiful. She is a pleasure to work with - totally down to earth and friendly. She was very accommodating throughout the engagement/wedding process, and she could not have been better. She also has a very reassuring and calming spirit, which was very valuable during the wedding day. Her staff at KCP Studios was also very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Katie also does beautiful photography of babies and children. When we were looking at her work, she showed us some albums of women with their children - absolutely priceless. I hope I am lucky enough to have her shoot my babies someday!

Duxbury's Catering

Duxbury's catered my December 10 wedding at Castle Green in Pasadena, CA. They did an outstanding job. Their staff was friendly and helpful - constantly went out of their way to help my guests (and my parents!). The food was delicious, and they gave us a very reasonable estimate for the cost of the reception food. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Outstanding... very professional... a pleasure to work with.

Castle Green

I had my wedding here on December 10, 2006. I thought it was a great location - very unique. The staff was sometimes frustrating to communicate with, but overall I would highly recommend Castle Green.

Ixora Ltd

Ixora Florist in Pasadena recently did my December 10 wedding. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous, and Lisa Cardella was a pleasure to work with. I talked to at least 3 florists in the Pasadena and Burbank area, and Lisa was my first choice by a landslide. She gave me a very reasonable quote, and she was very professional. She listened to what we wanted, and then came up with something even more beautiful than I had imagined.

It was a rare drizzly day in LA, so my coordinator and I had decided to do the wedding inside. Lisa strongly urged my husband to make an "executive decision" to move the wedding outside, and he did. It turned out fabulous, and we didn't get hit by a drop of rain. She basically saved our wedding ambiance!

She also gave us assistance on linens and lighting.

Mary Linn's Bridal & Tuxedos

Bought my wedding dress here. Good selection, but ridiculously expensive.

The staff is very rude and unpleasant to work with. They were rude to us until they realized we were actually going to buy a nice dress, and then they were suddenly much warmer - a total turn off. You should treat people nicely because they are people, not because they spend money in your store.
