James Revis W Md - Facey Medical Group
So far, the staff at Facey in Valencia and in Mission Hills is world class all around. If you can get to be apart of this group, you'll be lucky. I am currently going through their weightloss program and I would recommend it to anyone who is willing to listen to me!
BNL Construction
Brad is building my house and I would totally recommend his team. He's fair, clean, and responsible. He doesn't leave me out of the picture and keeps on task at a timely manner. His references love him and would hire him again at any time.
PROS: great work ethic
CONS: limited references due to his high profile clientel.
Thrivent Financial-Lutherans
The reps at the Verdugo Hills Group make talking about money easy, not painless. They are understanding about personal needs, and would help anyone at the drop of a hat. I never felt pressured, or uncomfortable. I walked out of the meeting with a better idea of what I was up against. Great people! Contact any of them, Melanie, Jeff, Michael or Kyle. They will all help you out!
Good Year Integrity Tire
Sure, getting your car serviced is a pain. Trust your whatever car to Ralph, and he'll give you a fair price, really great service, and you'll leave happy. He is swift, has a stable group of employees and he's been in the same location for years. He figured out what was wrong with my car when the car dealership couldn't (or wouldn't).
PROS: awesome service, competitive pricing
CONS: traffic in the morning to the shop, but well worth it.
Treana Winery
Treana doesn't shout or show itself off. One taste of the juicy wine with your filet and you'll be the one screaming. "How good is it," you ask. If you have to ask, then you've never drank wine if you haven't tried Treana. Seriously. I've been everywhere - up to Napa, SB, Santa Ynez, you name it. All I have to say is: "Bring it".
You can't find this place just by wandering around. You have to be called to it. I found it about ten years ago. I wasn't supposed to, believe me. Bought a bottle of Viognier/Marsanne mix. Happy Happy Happy.
Cheers!
PROS: Hello?!?!
CONS: Not being near!
Tobin James Winery
Tobin James is off the beaten path, near Meridian off the 46, and well worth the tire trax. Listen, if you like antique mahogany bars with big juicy zins and merlots, you'll really dig this place. We've been James Gang (membership) for years, and we've never been disappointed. It's like opening Christmas presents per shipment. Their chardonnays, Sangiovese, cabs and syrahs are all world-class and medal winners. Drive there today and pick me up some "Liquid Love".
PROS: Happy in your mouth
CONS: what, are you kidding?!?!
Christ Lutheran Church Elca
Live out your faith authentically, even if you don't have faith. It's hard to find churches, you know? This is place where you can figure out this God think at your pace, and have a multitude of people on the journey by your side. It's like my family, not my "second family". Love it, love it love.
PROS: You can be who you are and not feel like everyone is all churchy and perfec
CONS: Sometimes, if U don't step up, U can get lost in the shuffle.Get Involved!
Love Sushi & Roll
This place is awesome! Don't be put off by the hole-in-the-wall like ambience. The food is truly Japanese Sushi, with a splash of Americanese so you raw-fish scaredy cats won't freak out. Prices are insane: Check out two pieces of Maguro (Tuna) - $2.80!!! That's AWESOME!! If you go there, be sure and invite me for a piece or two! Plus, the husband and I love the sushi artists who are constant: Tom, Peter, and John - great guys who are lightning fast. Watch out for the serving staff, though. They were great in the earlier years, but seem to only cater to the super regulars. I had to wait 10 minutes for a water. :(
