Sunny Style
Sunny does an amazing job at giving dogs fabulous haircuts. She is especially good with Poodles and Wheatens, but she can give any dog a great haircut. It can be really hard to get an appointment with her, as she's very busy with shows and existing clients, but it's worth the wait.
Bombshellz Hair Studio
This is a very cool little hair salon in the heart of Newport Beach. The stylists are fun to talk to and do a great job with highlights and cuts. They are always sporting super-cute hair-dos and have great ideas about what would look good on you. It's a small place, so it can be hard to get an appointment right away, and it is kind of pricey, but just remember that the stylists are really nice and your hair will look great!
CONROY'S FLOWERS
Conroys Flowers is a good place to pick up a pretty bouquet of flowers. They have various deals going on so you can get a nice bouquet for a very reasonable price. We've also found Conroys to be very helpful for obtaining last-minute boutinners or corsages for the Junior/Senior Banquet! The employees are usually helpful.
Out Of Vogue
If you like vintage clothes, you will LOVE Out of Vogue. They had a wonderful selection of clothes -- hats, purses, coats, dresses, shoes, and more!! They also had furniture, jewelry, and comic books. The employees there were very friendly and helpful. The prices were a bit expensive, but nothing too unreasonable. Everything for sale was very high quality and in great shape.
Fullerton Museum Ctr
This is a cute little museum located in downtown Fullerton. They have a variety of traveling exhibits -- the one we saw was all about guitars -- and a small but nice collection of memorabilia relating to the city of Fullerton. All of the employees were very friendly and answered all of our questions. There was also a little gift shop that had all kinds of Fullerton-related merchandise at great prices.
Biser Martha - Kaiser Permanente Medical Care
I have always been extremely happy with Kaiser Permanente's service. The staff is always very helpful and the doctors are professional, knowledgeable, and kind. For middle-of-the-night questions, they have a 24-hour nurse hotline that you can call that has been very helpful. No matter who I have seen, whether it be a pediatrician, physician's assistant, OBGYN, or an RN, my family and I have gotten wonderful care.
Haircutters
The Haircutters is a good basic barbershop/hair salon, but nothing exceptional. The stylists are nice and give boringly nice haircuts. Because it's very close to us, my husband went here a few times to get his hair cut until I asked him how much it cost. For the same haircut and half the price, my husband could have gone to Great Clips or Fantastic Sams.
Color Me Mine
Color Me Mine is a great place to have a kids' party or a fun night out with other adults. Their speciality is providing different items -- vases, mugs, ornaments, etc -- that you can paint and so have a customized "thing" to take home with you. They make for great conversation pieces and it's a fun, pleasant way to spend an evening. Kids especially love doing these art projects.
Aaron Brothers
I love going to Aaron Brothers 1-cent frame sale that occurs twice a year. You can get fantastic frames and stock up for the year. I love giving pictures as presents, and this is an economical way to dress up a nice photograph. The staff at Aaron Brothers are so-so. They know what they are doing, but there never seem to be enough employees working, so it's hard to get good service.
Russo's Pet Experience
Russo's Pet Experience is a good place to buy pet merchandise. They have a great selection of cool beds, leashes, dog clothing, and accessories. However, I would not purchase a dog from Russo's. The dogs tend to have odd temperment quirks as well as problems with their coats and general health. Many have been there a long time, which makes them very hard to housetrain.
