Longo Lexus

This is the only place to buy a car. I purchased by RX 300 in 2000 and the purchase and service has been nothing short of outstanding. It is apparent they want my business for the rest of my life. Fast and courteous service agents. Reasonable costs for service. And, on two occasions they adjusted repairs for things that wore out that they said should not wear out. Looking to buy a car, and have it serviced .. this is the place to go. None like. (BTW - we also have an Audi TT from Rusnak in Pasadena - totally opposite experience).

PROS: Great car ... easy transaction .. fabulous service

Rusnak Bentley

This must be one of the worst dealerships in the world. The purchase of our Audi TT in 2000 was fine, but everything since then has been downhill. Their service rates and parts charges are very expensive. They maintain almost no parts in stock - therefor - every repair spans several days as they haev to special order parts. Today - it was a thermostat! incredible. And = the staff acts as though it is my priveledge to come there. Wrong - my personal car is a Lexus purchased and serviced by Longo - and Longo sets a standard Rusnak can only dream to achieve. Do not buy or have your car serviced at Rusnak. You will live to regret it.

PROS: Close by (not much of a pro)
CONS: Horrible and expensive service

Cottage 'N Castle

I have used this company numerous times for many years. Courteous and responsive service. And, the best at cleaning carpets in your home. An expert at removing stains = we have dobermans and they even manage to get those stains out.

Professional, fair prices, attentive to detail, absolutely the best you could ask for. Plan ahead around holidays because when you are this good, they are busy.

PROS: Prompt, expert skils, especially animal or other stains, fair price
CONS: None

Kutt Ruff Plumbing

I have used Doug at Kutt Ruff Plumbing several times. He is a solo craftsmen so he only promises what he can deliver. He is on time and has been fast to respond. Perfect guy for every small job, toilet repairs, faucets, bathtubs, etc. He is not a contractor - so he is great for the repair stuff do-it-yourselfers should not do, or screwed up doing themselves. Fair prices, fast service.

PROS: Fast response, complete repairs, personal service, fair price
CONS: none

Pastries By Nancy

Besides the fabulous cakes Nancy makes for occasions, she alwyas has some terrific by-the-slice items for a smaller dinner party. Warning = one slice is typically enoug to serve two, especially if you add a bit of ice cream on the side. Fabulous!

Cottage'N Castle

These folks are pros. Always courteous. Always on time. And their technicians are absolute pros. We have dogs and cats and have the occasional carpet spill ... and Dave always gets the stains out! These are the folks to use in greater Pasadena. The lasytime they cleaned the guy even told me not to call again until we replaced the carpet as it was becoming a lost cause. We replaced the carpet and he just cleaned the new stuff.

Henry Stephen D MD

This is one of the most learned, up-to-date and caring physicians in greater Los Angeles if not America. He is well trained, understands the latest science as he reads medical journals avidly but most importantly, he is one of the most caring physiciansyou will encounter. He cared for my deceased father-in-law with Alzheimres with all the compassion you can hope for. And - there are no fewer than 12 direct family members that call him our doctor. If you can get into his practice, you will be fortunate.
