This dinner was a disaster from start to finish. Our party of 12 arrived about 2 minutes late and they had already pulled apart our tables. Our waitress was new and completely out of her depth... I saw the host/manager talk to her a couple times but never give her a hand. We had a vegetarian who got meat sauce. Sent it back and they must have scraped off the sauce because it came back with meat still on it. One entree never made it to the table. Another vegetarian who got peperoni on her pizza, the waitress suggested "can't you just pick it off?" I had a crack in my glass and asked for a new one (on my premium margarita) the waitress said if it wasn't leaking, I didn't need a new one!!! The place was jammed with people who seemed content with bad service and bad food, so if this describes you, check out Mario's!
I love this place to browse and discover ideas for educational toys and supplemental materials for children. You can find items appropriate for all ages. Plenty of metered parking and an entrance in the back. Prices seem reasonable. Staff was knowledgeable and eager to help!
This place is the end-stop for educational supplies. Prices here can be very expensive for parents looking for toys for their families; these supplies are mostly institutional strength and can stand up to years of many kids use. I love to browse the store to find different ideas of fun ways to teach at home. Also, their sale stuff make certain items more affordable. Check out their website to learn more.
This business was recently updated with lots of new equipment. Everything is well maintained and there is plenty of car wash stalls so there is rarely a wait. Plenty of change machines and now they take credit cards if you forget cash. A great inexpensive way to wash your car, if you don't mind a little work!
I can only go into this store when I have to buy a gift for someone. This is a dangerous place for a chocoholic, like myself. My favorite sweet that I like to buy for my sweetie is chocolate covered strawberries (these can sell out though, so call ahead!) Prices are reasonable for Pasadena, I think.
My daughter much prefers My Gym to the other places because it is more active. Many more physical activities are offered. The staff was always friendly and especially good with the kids. I felt they always took the time with you when you needed extra help or instruction. But don't believe me; sign up for one free class and give it a try yourself. I also hear that they do a great birthday party!
I've gone here a couple times when I have needed helium balloons for a special occasion at work. They are always helpful and friendly. Prices are good too! I would definitely give they a chance when ordering flowers.
I had a great time at the knitting factory. I think the drinks are at or below Hollywood prices and the atmosphere was young and fun. We also looked on line at who was playing that night so no surprises. I even called to find out when my band was in the line up so I could arrive at just the right time. The staff on the phone was friendly.
I like to grab a coffee here because it has all the personal touches that the big coffee places don't. A community magazine rack, fresh baked goods, they even put a little hear-shaped dusting of cinnamon on your cappuccino! Be sure and grab a frequent coffee card and your 9th one is free.
PROS: Homey touches
I would say that the majority of vendors here are selling prepared food. There are some produce and flower vendors; they can be a little pricey. We really liked heading over to grab dinner and listen to some live music and enjoy summer! Try the crepe guy, yummy!
PROS: Something fun to do during the week
CONS: Hard to find a spot to sit
