Wild Rivers Waterpark

A nice place if you're into walking around in your trunks all day long and getting in and out of the water. As you can see it's not my cup of tea but it is a nice place to come if your having a children's party and you need a place to throw it. Very nice facility and lots of shade and places to rest yourself and your things. All rages of water rides too. Have fun if you like a long day outdoors and in the water and you don't feel like going to the beach for free.

Six Flags Magic Mountain Inc

Very fun place to come if you love roller coasters and all sorts of thrill rides. Beware of the loads of teenagers who rule this facility becasue waiting in line could be torture. The place is very spacious so be prepared to do alot of walking and there are some hilly spots too. Plenty of places to choose for eating and great snack bars all over the place. Don't worry about the heat because they have misters, even in line. Try not to go in the summer if unless your'e a camel.

Cheviot Hills Park

Excellent park for running, walking taking the kids you name it. It a beautiful part of West Los Angeles and with plenty of greenery. I've come here several times for walks and to get away from the hectic day of work and traffic. They also have a wonderful golf course at the edge of the park on Pico Blvd and it's really cheap if you're interested in hitting some golf balls. Check it out. A great place to get away and it's right in the city.

Disneyland

Disneyland is awesome and no matter how old I get I still love coming. I actually appreciate it more now that I'm older because I'm not a fan of roller coasters. The rides are a perfect pace for me especially the Haunted House, Indiana Jones and I hate to say it, Small World. I've never been a big fan of the food, but lately they have more healthy options and they also sell fruit and smoothies for snacks. A great place for the family and when I have kids I'll be the first to bring them.

The Jazz Bakery

This is a wonderful place to hear some of Jazz's greatest musician for affordable prices and a really intimate setting. I saw Jackie McLean, McCoy Tyner and some other jazz masters for only $20 and a full hour session of face to face straight playing. The ambiance is extremely casual and come early for a cup of joe before the performance. If you're lucky you'll share a word or two with the artists. Always a treat and worth every penny.

Westside Pavilion Mall

I really enjoy this mall because it's fairly close to my house and because it's not to big and croweded. They have free parking which is pretty unusual for Los Angeles and they have plenty of it too. I also like the sales at the Gap and the Macy's furniture store is really great. It just opened up and they're having great sales as we speak. Check out their tiny, moth infested movie theater. It doesn't have the luxury of a big fancy one but they have great movies and nice service. Overall a nice mall.

Bahay Natin Food Mart

Great, especially since there aren't too many Filipino restaurants in this city. The food is greasy but it brings me back and the flan is really good as well. The staff couldn't be friendlier and the music and Filipino news papers are fun to look at.Worth a try especially if you've never tried the food.

Abercrombie & Fitch

Not a fan of this store, never was. This particular store has a great location but the prices are ridiculous. They never offer sales and there selection is boring and not fitting for the setting they're in. The staff seem phony and I've not been impressed with the service.

Penny Lane Music & Video

I love this store. If you are a lover of music like me, you'll enjoy and appreciate this tiny gem. Some nice selections of music that may be hard to find elsewhere and the ability to listen to music before you purchase. Always knowledgable staff andthey are willing to order anything that isn't in stock. Great location as well and always able to find something different and fresh.

New Balance

New Balance were my first pair of running shoes. They are totally forgotten at times because other big names like Nike outshine them. These are great shoes with tons of support and great traction. Some pairs you'll find may be heavy, but they are great for casual running. Very comfortable. Great store too.
